The Lord’s Prophetic calendar 4/3/2022
This week we want to look at Satan’s Superman Daniel 8: 23 – 27
And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up. And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people. And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand. And the vision of the evening and the morning which was told is true: wherefore shut thou up the vision; for it shall be for many days. And I Daniel fainted, and was sick certain days; afterward I rose up, and did the king’s business; and I was astonished at the vision, but none understood it.
Someone may say “why another series on prophetic events”? My answer to that question is that many people in the church are ignorant of prophetic events that are going to take place soon, and possibly very soon. The most important event since the resurrection of Jesus Christ for believers is the rapture of the church which we covered last week. We will discuss the next event on God’s prophetic calendar and that would be the tribulation which Revelation chapter 4 – 18 covers. During that time there will be a world leader that emerges out of the chaos of the rapture known as the antichrist and with the help of the false prophet they together will deceive the world into uniting as one. He will rule the world, he will force every human being on earth to receive a make in their right hand or on their forehead. Without this mark folks will not be able to buy or sell. When we think of some very evil people that have come and gone on planet earth, we can say they were evil. But this man will exceed them all!!! This man is known as the antichrist. He will excel all of his protégés… He will be powerful, deceitful, intelligent, brutal, ruthless and efficient. He will represent the pinnacle of all that man can achieve apart from God. He will literally be Satan’s Superman. Let’s see what the Bible says about him.
I. The appearance of Satan’s superman verse 23
The bible tells us in the end times a fierce king will stand up. What are the signs? Can we know when he will appear? The answer to that is both yes, and no. No man can know exactly when he will appear but the bible gives us some information.
The condition of the world
II Tim. 3: 1 – 5 moral corruption. Not just moral corruption
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
Religious corruption. II Thess. 2: 3 A falling away tells us or religious corruption. This can only refer to a time when true Christians depart from the word of God. Today people call themselves a Christian but deny the virgin birth of Christ, they deny the deity of Christ, they deny the resurrection of Christ!!! Today you can call yourself a Christian and follow that up with and heresy.
Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
When denominations have to take votes on whether to marry homosexuals, or to allow homosexuals to be ordained, something is wrong! There are things that are nailed down so firmly in the Word of God that there should never be a question about them. However, we are seeing every major doctrine under attack. We see churches and denominations turning away from the truth with alarming speed. Truly we are in the midst of apostasy!) so what is stopping him from coming now?
The completion of the church II Thess. 2: 6 – 7
And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
Notice the two words {withholdeth} and {letteth} they form the word “to hinder”. What is hindering the antichrist from coming? The church of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. The church and the Holy Spirit are removed at the “rapture” of the church. Amen
Then the tribulation period is called Jer. 30 : 7 read. People want to have the church go through the tribulation why I do not know. Think for a moment and lets ask a very logical question. If the church was going through the tribulation don’t you think the Lord would have given us instruction to prepare for it? Now to prepare for it? Yet there is no instruction at all.
Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it:
It is even the time of Jacob’s trouble;
But he shall be saved out of it.
Let me answer why they believe and teach this. Because of their distorted view of the church and Israel. They do not disqungish the difference between the Old Testament and the New Testament. In the old God dealt primary with the Jewish people. In the New God deals with the church. Two testaments two completely different groups of people. They combine them therein lies their mistake. God is not done with Israel and anyone who says that he is doesn’t even know the basics of the bible and is not worthy of your time.
II. The abilities of this superman verse 23
He will be a man of popularity
He will have all the great qualities of the greatest leaders that this world has ever seen. Revelation 6:2 he will be given a crown… not the royal diadem but a crown.
He will be a man of peace at first.
Daniel 9:27. This peace will be a false peace, because only Jesus can bring true peace because He is the Prince of Peace…
And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
He will be a man of false prosperity.
Revelation 13: 16 – 17, Daniel 11:43
And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps.
He will be a man of power.
Rev 13: 7 – 18. HE will overcome the saints I thought you just said we will not be here. Correct, people will get saved through the tribulation time and they are called saints. Let me correct one very important thing. How do people get saved during the tribulation? The same way we do, amen. Salvation is always by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Daniel 8:24
And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people.
III. The abominations of this superman verse 24, 25
He will attack the people of God
In Daniel 7:25 we know that this antichrist will make a peace treaty with the nations of Israel for seven years. Right in the middle of the seven years he will break this peace and begin to attack.
He will attack the prince of God. Dan 8:25
He will attack the place of God.
Several scriptures make this very clear. II. Thess 2:4 Matthew 24:15
IV. The afflictions of this superman verse 25
His destruction is sudden
The bible says “he will be broken without hand”. In other words, not by man but by Jesus Christ himself, amen. Boy I hope you are on the winning side… rev. 19:20
His destruction is serious
The bible says the lake of fire forever, amen.
