I am blessed. I want to give honor to my my Lord and Savior. Jesus Christ. I want to give honor to my lovely wife lady.

And for all she does through out the week to make this service a success.

Palm Sunday, tears. Is the name of my message today?

You could also call it the tears of Palm Sunday. John 12:13 says, they took branches of palm trees and went forth to meet him and tries Hosanna. Hosanna. Blessed is the king of Israel that comes in the Lord.

And Luke 1941 through 44, which my message is based on as he approached Jerusalem and saw the city. He wept over it. And said, if you even you had only known on this day. What would bring you peace? But now it is hidden from your eyes. The days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment against you and encircle you and him you in on every side. Grounding your children within your wall. They will not leave one stone on another. Because you did not recognize the time of God coming to you. Listed this, the word of God.

A little boy was sick on Palm Sunday and stayed home from church with his mother. His father returned from church holding up on branch. The little boy was curious and asked. Why do you have that Palm Branch dad? You see when Jesus came into town, everyone ways to palm branches and lay them down on the ground to honor him. So, we got palm branches today. The little boy replied. Dad, the one Sunday. I miss is the Sunday that Jesus shows up.

The tears of Palm Sunday. Today, many people call this Palm Sunday, Palm Sunday is the Sunday before Easter. This is a religious holiday that commemorates the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem. In the days before his crucifixion.

See many lands. It was custom to cover the the pathway of or the walkway.

In honor of someone thought to be the highest honor. So that's what they did. This Sunday, all of the gospels reports this event in Mark Matthew and Lucy. They reported garments laying down on the password for Jesus, as he entered Jerusalem. What John John is the only gospel that specifically mentioned palm branches. Did the palm branches, a symbol of Triumph, the palm branches, as simple as victories. And because of this, these Tales of, palm branches, and the scene of the crowd reading Jesus as he entered Jerusalem by waiting palm branches and carpeting his past with them has given this date. It's named Palm Sunday. You see the prophecy often-quoted of having been fulfilled in the triumphal entry is Zachariah. And if you wanted her, people were familiar with the Old Testament is Disciples should have known something was up. Rejoice so greatly on Daughter of Zion behold. Your king is coming to you, right? And having salvation is humble and mounted on a donkey. And the Colts. The full of adults. But today.

And talk about the tears of Palm Sunday weeping over Jerusalem. In verse 41, it says he beheld the city. He looked at Jerusalem and he looked at the beautiful people. Beyond the pump, beyond the pageantry. Of the festival at Celebration of the day. He saw beyond the outward appearance of the day. And that is what he saw. That made him weep. He sees the spiritual condition of the city and the people. What was going on? They didn't understand the significance of what was going on that day. They didn't understand who he was, Nor what he came to this earth.

It was his people that rejected him. And crucified him. All the tears. Of Palm Sunday. and I think, A Jesus. Still looks down at our lives and Weeps.

I think sometimes he is grieved. Because of our spiritual situation. That we reject him or don't give him.

That we would rather live for ourselves and live for him. That we would rather be selfish. Instead of selfless. That we would rather live for this world than live for his kingdom.

I wonder.

If he is grieved at what he sees in your life today.

Jesus sees beyond.

You see beyond the outward. Appearance of things man looks outwardly, but God looks at the inside. He sees beyond outward in a church. I know your works. Into 2. He knows what goes on in his church and he knows what does nuts. He sees beyond in our lives, the facade, that hides the inward sin. He sees beyond the smile. That Heist the n-word. Cheers. He looked beyond the face, the inward pain.

I want you to know today that he not only sees. Be on the outward. But he cares about your pain.

He beheld the city. And wept over it. Did Jesus. His primary concern was over their sin and their rejection? People do you know that sin just brings pain into your life. All the way from the first sin in the Garden of Eden, Every Act of Disobedience brings pain. All sin has negative consequences of sin will take you farther away.

Send a direction that you really want to go. You see the soul that sins. Will surely die.

And if you think you are getting away with your sin. You are not.

He knows.

We cannot sin, and when?

Come on people.

Verse 42, if you even, you had only known.

Jerusalem.

The city of blessing. But instead, it has become a city of war and grief, even to this day.

What potential for the city of God? but now,

I want you to know today. Jesus knows your full potential. He knows what you are capable of doing.

He just doesn't look at the way you are acting.

It just doesn't look at the way you're living your life. He looks at what you can become.

You see the saddest words ever spoken?

Or it might have been.

Or it could have been.

Or I could have done.

He knows what you can achieve, he knows what you can do. Do not underestimate our Lord and savior. God, sees what you could become. He sees your potential in him. I wondered today if you blown it. I wonder today if you send I wonder today, if you made a mistake. Have you fallen shorts? One man said, if you feel you have no false. That makes another.

You see God has a great future for us. God has a great future for you. God has a great future for New Life, a great future. Surely beats a great time every time.

He seemed to be on the outward appearance. You're living your life right now. He cares about your pain. He cares about your feelings. He knows your full potential.

And lastly, to J.

When we're talking about the tears of Palm Sunday.

Jesus desires. To give us peace in our lives.

Peace, what a great word. This is. Peace.

This day, what would bring you? Peace? world's governments after its peace.

But do they really? Look at the world today. Jerusalem. Mean city of peace. What war was waiting in the wings for Jerusalem, verse 43, 44, but war was waiting in the wings for Jerusalem because God's people rejected him.

Jesus came to his disciples and said. These words. The comforter. Which is the Holy Ghost? Whom the father will send in my name. You shall teach you all things and bring all things to your remembrance whatsoever.

Peace.

I Leave You. My peace. I give unto you not as the world. Giveth give I unto you. Let your hearts. Not be troubled. Neither Let It Be Afraid.

How do I send it to you? I go away and I shall come again unto you.

Jesus wants peace in our lives, but only the peace that he can give.

Charles Wesley rice. I rest beneath the almighty shade of my grapes, expire my trouble cease. The Lord on whom. My soul is stayed. Will keep me still in. Perfect. Peace. Safety consists, not in the absence of troubles. but in the presence of God, you see peace that Jesus gives is not in the absence of troubles. We will face troubles. We will face trials, but rather it is in the confidence that he is with you. Always.

In 19 in eight 1555, a man named Nicholas Ridley. Evangelist. Was burned at the stake because as a witness for Christ.

On the night before. Ridley's execution is brother offered to remain with him in prison to be a comfort to him.

Nicholas declined, the offer, and said, I want to go to bed and sleep. As quietly as ever, he did in his life. Because he knew the peace of God. You could rest and strength of the Everlast in the Everlasting Arms of his Lord. To meet his needs. It's so, can we? He sees beyond the outward appearance. He cares about our pain. He knows your full potential and he longs to give us the peace in our lives.

and if you can, This fateful week. When he walked into town riding on sorry, when he rode into town.

Honda.

A man and God bless you. And bless you during this season.

No one's you say is going to be.

Who won?
