Celebration of Life

Smile, Kind, Enjoyed life.
Loved helping others.
James shared story with me about Andie. He was discipling a teenager from the youth group at his house. He would hang out with the family and Mrs. Andie treated him like a son.
On Mothers day that year he baked her a cake and brought it over. He was just one of many of the teenagers that thought of her that way and would call her “Mrs. B.”
Andie loved people and truly cared for them.
Danielle wrote about a time her mom wore fake ugly, probably hillbilly teeth, to cheer up her co-workers. She enjoyed lightening the mood.
One time she forgot to take them out and wore them to go get movie tickets. Danielle said it was embarrassing but everyone laughed.
Mrs. Andie had a way of lightening up the room and bringing people together.
Caitlin wrote about her moms love for sewing. I know that during COVID she made thousands of masks. My family and I were blessed to be recipients of those as well as some neat popcorn bowls based upon our interests.
She volunteered with the cases for smiles ministry hear at LBC for years. Andie would say that everything was made with a stitch and a prayer. She would always pray for the recipient of whatever she was making. She put love and Jesus into everything she did.
Rachel shared about her mothers green thumb…but it was only for plants that were outside. The moment they would come inside , they would die. She even killed a cactus. Now that is a feat.
Working with plants was something that made her happy. If she was upset or angry she would go out and pull weeds. Rachel said Andie spent a lot of time out there during their teen years.
Weeding wasn’t the only thing that brought her peace. Mrs. Andie loved the beach. It’s where she would go to get recentered. She would go once a week during the summer. It wasn’t always a place of serenity. One time Danielle ran off and got lost but two older ladies brought her back. The beach was a place where Andie enjoyed bringing her friends and family.
