Remember the Jetsons?

We are called to be/make disciples.

Discipleship is the most VITAL part of the Christian life. It is a lifelong process that doesn’t just happen.

Discipleship takes time and effort.

OK, I’ll try God! Apprenticeships are like discipleship. The tortoise and the hare. We have lost the ability to wait patiently and to live with a long-term perspective. We want it all, and we want it now. In Weight of Glory, C. S. Lewis wrote: “We are half-hearted creatures, fooling about with drink and sex and ambition when infinite joy is offered us, like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at the sea. We are far too easily pleased.”

We DO have the choice.
