The Way Up Is Down

Isaiah 57:15 (ESV)

15For thus says the One who is high and lifted up,

who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy:

“I dwell in the high and holy place,

and also with him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit,

to revive the spirit of the lowly,

and to revive the heart of the contrite.

I.       Introduction: We can not reach God. He is too high. We can not lift ourselves up into the presence of God.

II.    A Holy God: Elevated

III. A Humble Man: Lowly

IV. A Healthy Result: Lifted

V.    Conclusion: God lifts us up when we humble ourselves before him. Revival Comes through Repentance.
