Just want to thanks the Church for stepping up on sunday .
Turbulence
The depth of Gods word is so profound it will take eternity just to understand one sentence.
Romans 10:1-3 “Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they may be saved.
What does your prayer life look like. Is it your desire of souls to be saved.
The reason why we question everything and everybody in our lives because theres no visions in our lives .
Its through prayer we connect with Gods vision.
It was the pleasure of Pauls heart that Israel would be saved.
Paul took those pleasures and desires for Israels salvation and prayed about it.
All spiritual desires should end in prayer. All spiritual longings should end in prayer.
All spiritual decisions should end and start in prayer.
Then we watch God orchestrate situations in our lives where He moves.
Hey Pastor I’m moving to Anchorage Alaska. The statement should be I’ve prayed about it and God is leading me to go to Anchorage Alaska.
I get counseling often. Everyone should have someone who they are accountable to. Beyond just your spouse.
And not of the opposite sex.
But the ultimate Counselor is Christ . The Wonderful Counselor Is 9:6
Romans 10:2 “For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.”
Mormans are very zealous . Living in Zimbabwe Mormans where there.
The guys is 15 and his name was Elder Bryan
I was in hungry seen Jehovah witness’s there .
zeal - passionate commitement.
Turn to your neighbor are we passionately commited to the church?
We want to be passionately committed to God not the church
you can be compassionately commited to the things of God and not God.
Our devotion is on High
John 16:2 “They will put you out of the synagogues; yes, the time is coming that whoever kills you will think that he offers God service.”
Paul identified the zeal because he to was once zealous.
Gal 1:14 “And I advanced in Judaism beyond many of my contemporaries in my own nation, being more exceedingly zealous for the traditions of my fathers.”
Phil 3:6 “concerning zeal, persecuting the church; concerning the righteousness which is in the law, blameless.”
You cannot transfer the same zeal you had in the world and mix it with your relationship with God.
Gal 4:8-10 “But then, indeed, when you did not know God, you served those which by nature are not gods. But now after you have known God, or rather are known by God, how is it that you turn again to the weak and beggarly elements, to which you desire again to be in bondage? You observe days and months and seasons and years.”
The same zeal you had in the world is not transferable.
We see a guy 6’8 350 pounds just serves 30 years for murder.
And we say man if he gets saved he would be a powerhouse for the kingdom of God.
You don’t know but if he takes that same zeal and use it in Christianity it will be a nightmare.
If not humbly submitted to the cross.
