Passage

Luke 10:27–29 (NIV)
27 He answered, “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” 28 “You have answered correctly,” Jesus replied. “Do this and you will live.” 29 But he wanted to justify himself, so he asked Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?”
Matthew 28:19–20 (NIV)
19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Love well, live true, can’t lose

Point

LOVE WELL
Week 1 - Magnify = Deut 6:5
Deuteronomy 6:5 NIV
5 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.
We can’t love God well if we don’t also love people well = The Good Samaritan = Enemy Love (Jesus uses an example of how an enemy is capable of love)
Luke 6:32–35 (NIV)
32 “If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them. 33 And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do that. 34 And if you lend to those from whom you expect repayment, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, expecting to be repaid in full. 35 But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked.
Love the oppressed as much as the oppressor, the victim as the suspect (Uvalde, Buffalo, Tulsa Victims & Shooters)
Racism in Mayfield & Robert F Hall today - kill them with kindness
How? We start with us.
John 13:35 NIV
35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
We can’t change our world if we first don’t know how to clean our rooms (figuratively, literally)
The MOVEment needs to be a safe place to make mistakes & love one another anyone. If you have a problem with someone, don’t take communion before bringing it up with them or your small group leader
Ephesians 4:26 NIV
26 “In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry,
The MOVEment is also a safe place to discover how God has made you to love people well (natural/spiritual gifts, personality) - which will be part of our student leadership program that will go beyond PRIME
Love people well means loving your enemy
2. LIVE TRUE
Obey means… OBEY. To believe is to obey and to obey is to believe. No matter your day, OBEY ANYWAY.
Obey what? EVERYTHING JESUS TAUGHT & TAUGHT FROM = THE WORD OF GOD, SCRIPTURES, THE BIBLE, THE STORYBOOK OF JESUS. What if I struggle with the Bible?
PRIME Lecture Preview: The Authority of Scripture
PRIME primes you for the fight of faith, belief, calling, purpose, relationships, church, world problems… THE FIGHT FOR YOUR LIFE.
The reality is 62% of you will walk away from your faith after high school. That doesn’t have to be your reality.
v. 20b - Jesus always works for the one who always works for Him.
Love well, live true, can’t lose

3. CAN’T LOSE
Romans 8:26–39 NIV
26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. 27 And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God. 28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. 29 For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. 30 And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified. 31 What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? 33 Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. 34 Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36 As it is written: “For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” 37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
The MOVEment lives victoriously because Jesus secured your victory. He traded thorns on his head for a crown on yours.
Youth ministry living victoriously through the global pandemic (Online services, virtual retreat, one-day camp, cringy IG lives by PJ, Tyler’s dad jokes, WhatsApp groups, Zoom Bible studies, getting COVID being in-person, racial issues, leading Alphas online)
I believe that there will be something worse that will happen in our world in the near future that will have a greater impact than COVID-19. At the exact same time, I believe that no one will be able to come out more victoriously than this generation, the people in this room.
The MOVEment lives victoriously as we LOVE WELL, LIVE TRUE so we CAN’T LOSE.
