Jesus was 100% man and 100% God

The Deity of Jesus Christ
John 1:1-3 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made.”
Colossians 1:15-20 “He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent. For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross.”
John 20:27-29 “Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand, and place it in my side. Do not disbelieve, but believe.” Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!” Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.””
Revelation 5:9-10 “And they sang a new song, saying, “Worthy are you to take the scroll and to open its seals, for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation, and you have made them a kingdom and priests to our God, and they shall reign on the earth.””
The Humanity of Jesus Christ
He was born of woman.
He experienced human things:
Sorrow - John 11:35 “Jesus wept.”
Hunger - Matthew 4:2 “And after fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry.”
Weariness - John 4:6 “Jacob’s well was there; so Jesus, wearied as he was from his journey, was sitting beside the well. It was about the sixth hour.”
Felt pain - 1 Peter 2:21 “For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps.”
He died - Matthew 27:50 “And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice and yielded up his spirit.”

Jesus Christ was Sinless

John 8:29 “And he who sent me is with me. He has not left me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to him.””
1 Peter 2:22 “He committed no sin, neither was deceit found in his mouth.”
Exodus 12:5 “Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male a year old. You may take it from the sheep or from the goats,”

The Purpose of Jesus Christ

Luke 19:10 “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.””
1 Timothy 1:15 “The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost.”

Why this Matters

Many heresies begin with false teaching on the Person of Christ. Such false teachings include:
Jesus was either not fully God or fully man.
Jesus was a created being.
Jesus was sinless only after His baptism.
Paul warned the church at Corinth about people preaching another Jesus: 2 Corinthians 11:3-4 “But I am afraid that as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your thoughts will be led astray from a sincere and pure devotion to Christ. For if someone comes and proclaims another Jesus than the one we proclaimed, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or if you accept a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it readily enough.”
