Genesis 28

If you have learned a bit about me and Rhiannon you might know we have only one car.
The question is kinda of why?
one reason is money, we just don’t see it as viable to buy another car at the momment.
another is our family style, there is only 2 of us and if there was more we would probably look at another car
one more is gas prices, am I right.
However the biggest peice for me is none of that, the biggest peice of why do we have one car comes down to Creation Care.
I love God’s creation, the earth and everything on it and I want to do my part of taking care of it, and we cannot ignore the enviromental impact of our actions. So for me that means driving a car, places or walking/riding a bike there.
I enjoy maintaining and taking care of creation.
Here is another example,
This thursday me and Josh went for a walk and there was trash and nails and sticks and you name it in the middle of the side walk, and this was downtown vermilion, along suburbs, what ever. I decide each time I saw a unmaintained peice of creation that I could fix then and there to help and take care of it.
Throwing out trash or moving sticks to a stump of a tree.
When it comes to Creation we are to take care of it
Genesis 1:28 NIV
God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”
We are told to rule over creation and subdue it, ruleing over every animal and through that it’s really saying take care of each animal. We are to be the ruler over creation but that was wrecked in the fall as we are no long in full control of creation.
as we said last week, there are mountians but there are also cliffs
If there are cute puppers, there are doggos that bite.
so creation is a little wild after the fall.
Altought we are told to subdue the world, the really calling was to lead the earth, lead the creatures that are on the earth, to take care of them.
to be a good ruler over creation is to mange and care for it.

Genesis 1:29

when it comes to the next verse Genesis 1:29-30
Genesis 1:29–30 NIV
Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds in the sky and all the creatures that move along the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food.” And it was so.
when we look at the call here we can see that it is not about how we recceive everything we need, but rather that we are given and told to take care of.
That the seeds of the earth are ours for food and it is our job to maintain those seeds and those plants to contiune our
