1 Now I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals; and I heard one of the four living creatures saying with a voice like thunder, “Come and see.” 2 And I looked, and behold, a white horse. He who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer.
3 When He opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, “Come and see.” 4 Another horse, fiery red, went out. And it was granted to the one who sat on it to take peace from the earth, and that people should kill one another; and there was given to him a great sword.
5 When He opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come and see.” So I looked, and behold, a black horse, and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand. 6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, “A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not harm the oil and the wine.”
7 When He opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying, “Come and see.” 8 So I looked, and behold, a pale horse. And the name of him who sat on it was Death, and Hades followed with him. And power was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword, with hunger, with death, and by the beasts of the earth.

The First Horseman - The AntiChrist
Our ideas and notions of when the end will be are always tied to terrible times, times of chaos, unrest, political and economic collapse..
people think that what’s going on now with the war in Ukraine, the threat of China in Asia, and Iran accelerating in their development of a nuclear weapon, the economic hardships and political and cultural conflicts will be followed by the end..
Actually, that is not what the Bible says.. yes there will be wars and rumors of wars, famines, pestilences and these are all just labor pains, signs of the times..
But immediately before the end times, there will be a period of Global Peace
GLOBAL PEACE
Even now, the global elites are bringing their collective ideas to formulate a universal solution to all the world’s problems.
In March, the founder and executive chairman of the World Economic Forum Klaus Schwab told global leaders to collaborate for world governance.
2 For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night.
3 For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape.
The Master key that unlocks all prophecies is the Word of the Master Himself, the Lord Jesus.
38 For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, 39 and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.
Many in the world will be living normal lives (business-as-usual), not having a clue that the Lord’s coming is imminent.
We wonder how can there be peace when it seems the whole world right now is headed for worse turbulent times… Such will be the geopolitical skills of this man, the antichrist that he would be able to maneuver the world - just when at the brink of a breaking point - to a period of safety, a promise of prosperity and global peace.
Nations must be brought down to its knees,
National currencies will be obliterated
But there will be a gifted world leader that will bail nations out, bring a solution to the world’s problems and bring an end to all the world’s crisis.
And he will lead the world to a period of global peace.
This man will be a demon-possessed man, I mentioned last time that he will be extraordinarily smart, but he does not need to be naturally smart — all satan needs is a body given to him.
He is the first rider in our text when the first seal was opened:
1 Now I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals; and I heard one of the four living creatures saying with a voice like thunder, “Come and see.” 2 And I looked, and behold, a white horse. He who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer.

White horse — White - He will be a counterfeit Messiah.
He had a bow - no mention of arrows — his method initially is peaceful
A crown was given to him - he will be given authority for a period of time..
25 He shall speak pompous words against the Most High,
Shall persecute the saints of the Most High,
And shall intend to change times and law.
Then the saints shall be given into his hand
For a time and times and half a time.
Time, times and half a time.. A year plus two more years and half a year, 3 1/2 years or 42 months.
Before that great tribulation the world will be deceived into a semblance of harmony and world peace that is very much needed and sought after
9 The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, 10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie,
Even Israel will accept this future man of peace as their Messiah.

What the Antichrist will bring to the world after the first 3 1/2 years of The Great Tribulation.
Total Political Rule.
Religious Dominance and Persecution.
Economic Control.
A Bigger Holocaust
16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, 17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

Natural calamities and cosmic disturbances unlike anything the world has ever seen.
After the final 3 1/2 years, the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords will finally appear.
There will is another White Horseman Who will appear on the scene.
This horseman is not the same as Revelation 19:11-16
11 Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. 12 His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. 13 He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. 14 And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. 15 Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16 And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written:
KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS

There will be a remnant in the nations. Who will not receive the mark of the beast, and there will be repentance among the remnant in Israel.
10 “And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; then they will look on Me whom they pierced. Yes, they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn.
Israel will accept Jesus as their Messiah.
The peak of this man’s rebellion will be making war with the Lamb of God.
19 And I saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against Him who sat on the horse and against His army. 20 Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone. 21 And the rest were killed with the sword which proceeded from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse. And all the birds were filled with their flesh.

Contrasts between Jesus and the Antichrist
False peace vs. the Prince of Peace
Temporary Rule and Authority (Given a Crown) - Jesus’ Kingdom will have no end
Antichrist will be accepted - Jesus was rejected
43 I have come in My Father’s name, and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his own name, him you will receive.
70 AD, a partial fulfillment
But there will be a future falling away as many in the world will continue to reject the Lord Jesus Christ ==> Sadly, this falling away will also happen in the so-called churches of our time.
What do we get out of this lesson, yes we have to be prepared.. but it is really about our hearts, Jesus demands ultimate commitment from us, are we so resolute in our commitment to Him that in face of a promised peace and prosperity from a world manipulated by the Antichrist ----> we our devotion to Jesus remain firm even in face of persecution..
Some of you can easily dismiss --- of course we will choose Jesus! The Bible gently tells us to consider where we really are and where we would be:
11 Now all these things happened to them as examples, and they were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages have come.
12 Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.
The choice is clear:
Do we choose Christ over:
Riches
Over the World
Over People — yes, even we love.
29 So Jesus answered and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My sake and the gospel’s, 30 who shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time—houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions—and in the age to come, eternal life.
Hell is a literal place, it is not made for man
