Which is much better on everybody here. I know we had a little bit of confusion this morning Roy thought I was going to teach the Bible Lesson and I thought he was going to teach the Bible Lesson and soul.

Larry never sent me the same about what the Bible Lesson was supposed to be about. So Roy just got here, Roy, guess what? You're teaching the Bible Lesson and he made a perfect choice because it He talked a lot about the things we have here on Earth that we can't take with us. and, Jesus is. Last trip to Judea. Preaching. He talked about those things, he was gathered together with it a lot. I mean, a very large crowd of people and they were discussing

what it means to Believe In Christ. and all the sudden, the guy comes up and says Well here, take care of this Earthly problem for me.

Because his mind was not where it should be his mine was on the things of Earth. and if you've ever gone through some of those things, you can understand where this young man was coming from. The Christ was there. They just finished eating and of course he had dinner with the Pharisee. and, which were supposed to be the largest of the Hypocrites at the time where the Pharisees

But here here to dinner with the Pharisees and but he was talking to the people about how much he loved them and how they could gain eternal life.

Warriors teaching. This young man interrupted him.

Luke 12:13 says 12 company said India Master speak to my brother that he divide the inheritance with me. and he said, unto a man who made me a judge Or a divider over you. Why are you troubling me with this? Something you need to solve on your own? You need to be worrying about where you're going.

And what life is going to give to you. So I told him is who made me a judge in divider over you, not my job to divide up your Earthly. And he said into the mall, take me where the covetousness. For a man's life, consists not in the abundance of things that he possesses.

Any space available. And we all know this Parable saying, The ground of a certain rich, man. Brought forth plentifully and he thought was in himself, saying what should I do? Because I have no room, where does the stole my fruits and he said I will do. I will pull down my Barns and build greater and there will I bestow my fruits and goods. And I will say to my soul so much Goods laid up for many years.

Who shall these things be has provided. So is it that the treasure for himself and is not rich toward? So I can only think about what he can do for himself here on Earth. What material things can he store up? He's not thinking about what he can do for God. And he said Jesus said to his disciples, therefore, I say unto you. Take no thought for your life. We know that God thinks more highly of us than he does the Ravens. But yet we question, what we shall eat? Where we shall sleep.

And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature? One cubit. Can you make yourself greater? Can you make yourself grow?

You can make yourself, do God's will. It's easier to be not able to do that thing. Which is least why take you thought for the rest. So if you can't do the least of the things that God can do. Why are you worried? About what you can do for yourself, worried about what you can do for God, and God will take care of the rest. Consider the lilies and how they grow, they toil not, they spend not. And yet I say unto you that Solomon and All His glory, Was not arrayed like one of these.

That last verse is the whole lesson. It's the last in Roy game this morning. It's the lesson here today. Where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Now, I'm going to tear these apart a little bit.

So, how do you think that question made Jesus feel when that guy interrupted while he was saying right in the middle? I asked him about his inheritance. Have you ever seen that in your life? God is talking. People are morning and somebody's interested in what they're going to get.

Have you been to a funeral and had somebody do that? Well, you know, 33 and a half years ago, I gave her this dish. Can I have it back? you seen that before or Well, I was always daddy's favorite. so, I should get his shotgun, I should get his bank account, I should get all the land.

People are not thinking. What their true inheritance is. Your inheritance needs to be eternal life. Your inheritance needs to be God in eternity with God.

Your inheritance needs to be at home in heaven. You need not to worry about the things of this Earth.

So, you know, that had to really grieve the Lord cuz he's trying to tell this man had a Save his Eternal Soul got to live forever in glory. And he's worried about whether his brother's going to get more.

Of Daddy's toys.

We've got a attitude in this country that he who dies with the most toys wins. That's wrong. He who dies with the most toys losses. He loses his soul because he's more preoccupied with toys. Then God.

And that's what this whole Parables about.

if you've got a preacher who has gold Faucets in his house, you might not be going the right direction when you follow that guy. Because he didn't have his mind on. Eternity. He's got his mind on. How glorious. Can I look? Now, look at my limousine.

Not look at my God.

Look at what I've gained here on Earth.

Because I have deceived you.

So naturally Jesus rebuked him.

He said, hey King, beware the coming in this stuff, man, for a man's life consists not in the abundance of the things which he possesses.

so,

if you've ever followed, Debbie and I are around after an auction. Our store houses are kind of fool. We try to make sure that they're not for very long.

We're weird. We buy stuff to give away. You know, my fight, every bunch of shoes over there. Now, that we bought an option and we brought in for anybody who wants to take them. And if we haven't given away, everything we've bought throughout the year, it'll be down there at the sale for the

Animal Shelter. The rescue animals, they'll sell it, and it'll be gone, you know, we don't need all that stuff. It just takes up space.

We should be out looking for ways. That we can use our material treasure to help Mankind and to help God's word. Not looking for ways to increase our material treasure because we can't take him with us or I said that this morning you can't take it with you. You got to leave it behind. One thing you did Jesus, a great opening to talk about greed and materialism to the people, he had there. I'm so, He was jealous and told us all the parable of the rich sower.

Yep. Don't mess me up Larry. I don't have any notes up here.

It's obvious that this man was very successful in the world. He was a rich farmer. He was a rich, businessman. A Trader. There's no indication that he came by any of this, just honesty. And just honestly he came by his riches honestly. So he wasn't out stealing from anybody. So, why was he considered to be a fool? Why is it called the parable of the rich fool?

Why was his soul condemned?

Well, is it wrong to be successful in life?

Is it wrong to build barns? To show how successful are you? Is it wrong to judge the success of your life? Like what you possess

Yeah. Definitely is.

It's also wrong. If you're worried about just laying up more and more Treasures for yourself in this world,

it's wrong. if you're worried about your Earthly possessions and not being rich toward God,

Does that mean a rich man cannot go to heaven. It does not. It means a rich man that does not use his riches. They help God.

Is going to have a very hard time getting in the door.

You can be rich and successful and still be a Godly person. Or you can be rich and successful. Have been condemned to hell. You have to make that choice and you have to make the choice based on. Why are you amassing these riches? Are you amassing these riches to pay for Ministries? In other parts of the world to pay for spreading the word of God to all corners. That's a good reason. Accumulate some wealth.

So obviously he made some mistakes by not pursuing riches towards God. He lacked a sense of the proper values. He was more worried about making a living than making a life.

Do we all get into that or how we got into that at some time? To where? Oh, I'm going to, I've got it, I've got to work 20 hours a day, you know, cuz I need a new bass boat my trucks. Getting a little bit old and so on and so forth.

but, if I went and worked 8 hours a day,

and, Read my family. With God's blessings. Can you not put in another?

6 hours a day at the church.

And then I can put in a few more hours.

Talking to my neighbors about God. I'm working the same amount of time but the riches that I'm amassing. Or giving me life. In heaven. We are all expected to support our families. None of us are suspected, our suspect is expected to live on the Dole. We're expected to work and everything. We're possibly capable of working at forgot. For his love. Set an example for others. Wherever we go.

You cannot be more worried about your riches than God's riches.

God riches are amassed by serving God. When he looks upon your righteousness. That's why he's looking at. How have you served me today?

1st Timothy 6 9 through 10 says but they that will be rich fall into temptation ensnare. An answer, many foolish and hurtful lust, which drowned men and destruction, and Perdition, For the Love of Money, is the root of all evil. Which while some David after, they have erred from the faith, And pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

Your Chan not worship money. Worship God.

If your only concern is how can I make more money? How can I make more money? How can I make more money? You forgot. Where your dedication should be, you should be dedicating. Effort to God. And he will take care of what you need. Don't confuse your wants and your needs. God takes care of your needs.

So he probably isn't standing by to buy you a new bass boat.

Okay, that's not a need unless you're a professional fisherman. It's a want. So it probably doesn't need to be quiet as nice. It's what the guy next door has, just needs to do the job. You're allowed to have some things that you enjoy.

But don't put them ahead of what God's needs are.

Not only, did I lack a sense of values to the serving God?

Yeah, you needed to remember Matthew or says, lay up your Treasures in Heaven, where neither moth nor rust, doth corrupt for a Sea-Doo, not break through nor steal, lay up, your Treasures in Heaven.

Not. On Earth.

Not only would missing that sense of values. He was selfish. If you look at the way the stories told in the very first part, the words, I in Meijer 12 times in the very first version of your story. What am I going to do with my riches? What, where should I store? My treasures. White shark. What should I build to make sure my stuff is protected? When you should have been building to make, sure God stuff was protected and God's will was done.

The rich man needed to find some Godly purpose in his life. Galatians 6:10 says, as we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men. Especially under the arm who are of the household of faith. So that means especially our Christian brothers and sisters.

We need a really do good for them. We need to help them because in our congregation

We, we have people that struggle, we have people that stray.

We have people that stumble. We need to make sure that we're not putting any stumbling blocks there, to help them stumble, but that were there to catch them when they do. And treat them with love. Always

Stewards of God's possessions and he said, he allows us to utilize. We own nothing in this world. There is nothing in this world that is not been provided to us by God.

if you figured out a new machine and and you patented it, and you, Collecting a million dollars.

Something gave you. The brain figure out that machine and it was God, God provided that opportunity for you. You you took advantage of an opportunity given to you by God and he supplied your knee. And we need to remember that all the things that we have our gifts from God.

So wealthy should not only be enjoyed, it should be employed. To help others. Just cause she hit It Rich. If you win the lotto.

Spread it around, help others, help to help your church.

Buy somebody a Bible. Or a thousand if you win a big one.

Another mistake. The rich man made was he thought he could provide for his soul with material things. Luke 12:19 says and I will say to my soul so much good laid up for many years.

But guess what? You can't talk to your soul. Your soul belongs to God. And what happens with your soul belongs to God. The only thing you can do for your soul.

Is take the steps to save it. And guess what? God, provide that opportunity to

For all you have and all that takes place, God is in control of your soul.

You can't buy it. You can't learn somehow.

If you build. The world's largest church building and fill it with people. But never take the steps that God told you to take to be saved. It won't save your soul. You can't buy your soul.

John 6:27, says labor, not for the meat which parish is but for that meat, which endureth unto everlasting life, which the son of man shall give unto you God and the father sealed

so it's not the meat. A serf. is the meaning of salvation you must labor for

Matthew 4:4 tells but he answered and said it is written man. Shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Just like our title song. Our first song of the service said what precedes out of the mouth of God That's where you got to listen. That's where you got to set your heart. That's what you have to believe in. We cannot nourish our soul with food. It only comes from the word of God.

Avoid those traps at the rich, man fell into Luke 12:15 says, and he certainly takes and beware of Covington consists not in the abundance of the things, which he possesses beware. Wanting wanting wanting wanting wanting more. More, more more more.

What cause your life?

Is not built around wanting. It's built around. Love of God. If you, if you have to want something want to serve him. Because that's where salvation lies. Some of the fall into that. Very same trip. Trap. Have you ever said, if I had a better job? I made more money, then I'd be happy.

Now.

You wouldn't cuz then you're going to want more, I want more.

How tall is Steve Beach? Parable of the raccoon. When I was stationed in Bangor, Washington at the top of the pier, there is a Culver in that Culvert, lived, a bunch of raccoons.

And everyday is, people would come down to work on on the pier and Larry, and I were stationed at the top has appear right across from that Culvert. So we could watch this happen every day. From, from where we were, people would come down that pier and they drop them a little snack or something.

Well, I got the tunes, got good and fat sassy. And I got to the point it will. Now if you're not giving them something, they would attack you.

Because everything has been given to him.

They didn't have to work for it anymore. They didn't have to go roaming in the woods to find it. They expected to be giving it. I saw the game warden end up, putting them all to sleep, because they were attacking people. Because they thought they coveted that free food. So, since that's all they were after, they could no longer 10 for themselves in a while, but there were no longer safe to have around, so they were destroyed. Do that to yourself. Don't chase after all the stuff in the world.

Instead of keeping your mind on what you're here to do, and what you're here to do is worship God. You're here to serve him.

1st, Timothy 6:6 through eight but godliness with contentment is great gain.

Be happy with what you have. What you have is enough.

For we brought nothing into this world and it is certain that we're going to carry nothing out of it. And having food and raiment, let us be there with content. We have food and clothing. We have more than that because here we have the love of each other. We have the love of a congregation. We Have No Love in the church.

Many people don't have that. God gave us that blessing to and we need to pursue that blessing.

This rich, man. He thought he had this great lease on life. He had it all figured out.

Had stuff laid up for many years to come. God said unto him Val fool. That's night. Not a soul shall be required of thee. Then those then who's the first time, then I shall those things be, which now has provided He's got it up all this stuff.

You can't take it with him. It's too late to give it to God. Now. And then Too late to use it to save another soul.

So, it's just going to turn to dust. Or his kids are going to kill each other fighting over it. You know or is cousins or whatever. You seen it families torn apart.

Seeking. The leftover Riches of someone who's died and senseless.

So I told my kid, I'm spending it now.

Don't worry about. The material things. God gave us instructions. How do you say?

Where your treasure is. There, your heart will be also.

To me. That's what the whole lessons about. Make sure your treasurer.

It's where? It needs to be your treasure is in heaven. Make sure that the things you do store up Treasures in Heaven.

Colossians 3, 1 through 4 says, since then you have been raised with Christ, set your heart on things above, where Christ is seated, at the right hand of God, set your minds on things above, not on Earthly things. Let all that you do. Be pointed towards Christ, not the material, things of this Earth.

Always. Work towards that preparation.

Not he who believes will be saved. He who believes and is baptized

He does say if you believe in me, you will do my will, which is be baptized be safe.

Hear the word of God.

Have you heard the word of God?

Do you believe in?

Have you repented of your sins?

And you confess Christ as your savior, Son of God.

Have you been baptized?
