When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace:
But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils.
I don’t come with a traditional message today so I am going to dispense with some traditions...
I have come with a simple message today: “God is working on our behalf!”.
This week I have been overwhelmed as I watched God work!
There has been a troubling of the waters if you please...
A stirring among the mulberry trees...
The sound of pieces coming into place...
2.5 years ago we decided that we would sale this building and build/buy something else.
Nothing has been on the market.
Until last week...
Sis. Alphin and I looked at this building on Monday night and felt good about it.
While it is in our price range, the biggest issue is this building.
While there has been nothing to purchase on the market, we have had no viable offers on this building.
Until Thursday! $450k
And just like that things are moving and changing!
Remind you of what Bro. Chase said the a couple weeks ago about bamboo shoots, going for years under the surface!
Just because you can’t seem to see things with your naked eye, don’t mean God is not working where you can’t see it!
Today’s message is simple, get ready because we are moving!
Spiritually, emotionally, physically!
I can’t get away from this scripture...
When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace:
But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils.
“When a strong man, armed to the teeth, stands guard in his front yard, his property is safe and sound.
We have felt the pressure of this bully, threatening us and intimidating us…
Marching around his territory, telling us all the things we can’t have.
All the things we can’t do.
The whole time he’s been on guard, holding his territory, God has been laying the groundwork for this moment!
But what if a stronger man comes along with superior weapons? Then he’s beaten at his own game, the arsenal that gave him such confidence hauled off, and his precious possessions plundered.
What has been taking place this past year?
Fighting with superior weapons!
Learned the power of prayer, the Name of Jesus, the authority of the Word of God
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
Let’s be smart, aware
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:
Conclusion:
Or else how can one enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.
No man can enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house.
