God made marriage to be the foundation from which man would spread into all the earth, develop it, continue into the future, and redemption into the coming kingdom. Though all sexual sins are subsumed under this commandment, adultery is the chief and most important example because it is the first domino to fall in our acceptance of sex in any other relationship.
