1 The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show to his servants the things that must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John,
2 who bore witness to the word of God and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, even to all that he saw.
1 La revelación de Jesucristo, que Dios le dio, para manifestar a sus siervos las cosas que deben suceder pronto; y la declaró enviándola por medio de su ángel a su siervo Juan,
2 que ha dado testimonio de la palabra de Dios, y del testimonio de Jesucristo, y de todas las cosas que ha visto.
17 Then the dragon became furious with the woman and went off to make war on the rest of her offspring, on those who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus. And he stood on the sand of the sea.
17 Entonces el dragón se llenó de ira contra la mujer; y se fue a hacer guerra contra el resto de la descendencia de ella, los que guardan los mandamientos de Dios y tienen el testimonio de Jesucristo.
10 Then I fell down at his feet to worship him, but he said to me, “You must not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers who hold to the testimony of Jesus. Worship God.” For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
10 Yo me postré a sus pies para adorarle. Y él me dijo: Mira, no lo hagas; yo soy consiervo tuyo, y de tus hermanos que retienen el testimonio de Jesús. Adora a Dios; porque el testimonio de Jesús es el espíritu de la profecía.
The Purpose of Prophesy
1 After the death of Ahab, Moab rebelled against Israel.
3 It may be they will listen, and every one turn from his evil way, that I may relent of the disaster that I intend to do to them because of their evil deeds.
4 You shall say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord: If you will not listen to me, to walk in my law that I have set before you,
5 and to listen to the words of my servants the prophets whom I send to you urgently, though you have not listened,
6 then I will make this house like Shiloh, and I will make this city a curse for all the nations of the earth.’ ”
7 The priests and the prophets and all the people heard Jeremiah speaking these words in the house of the Lord.
8 And when Jeremiah had finished speaking all that the Lord had commanded him to speak to all the people, then the priests and the prophets and all the people laid hold of him, saying, “You shall die!
9 Why have you prophesied in the name of the Lord, saying, ‘This house shall be like Shiloh, and this city shall be desolate, without inhabitant’?” And all the people gathered around Jeremiah in the house of the Lord.
10 When the officials of Judah heard these things, they came up from the king’s house to the house of the Lord and took their seat in the entry of the New Gate of the house of the Lord.
11 Then the priests and the prophets said to the officials and to all the people, “This man deserves the sentence of death, because he has prophesied against this city, as you have heard with your own ears.”
12 Then Jeremiah spoke to all the officials and all the people, saying, “The Lord sent me to prophesy against this house and this city all the words you have heard.
13 Now therefore mend your ways and your deeds, and obey the voice of the Lord your God, and the Lord will relent of the disaster that he has pronounced against you.
3 Quizá oigan, y se vuelvan cada uno de su mal camino, y me arrepentiré yo del mal que pienso hacerles por la maldad de sus obras.
4 Les dirás, pues: Así ha dicho Jehová: Si no me oyereis para andar en mi ley, la cual puse ante vosotros,
5 para atender a las palabras de mis siervos los profetas, que yo os envío desde temprano y sin cesar, a los cuales no habéis oído,
6 yo pondré esta casa como Silo, y esta ciudad la pondré por maldición a todas las naciones de la tierra.
7 Y los sacerdotes, los profetas y todo el pueblo oyeron a Jeremías hablar estas palabras en la casa de Jehová.
8 Y cuando terminó de hablar Jeremías todo lo que Jehová le había mandado que hablase a todo el pueblo, los sacerdotes y los profetas y todo el pueblo le echaron mano, diciendo: De cierto morirás.
9 ¿Por qué has profetizado en nombre de Jehová, diciendo: Esta casa será como Silo, y esta ciudad será asolada hasta no quedar morador? Y todo el pueblo se juntó contra Jeremías en la casa de Jehová.
10 Y los príncipes de Judá oyeron estas cosas, y subieron de la casa del rey a la casa de Jehová, y se sentaron en la entrada de la puerta nueva de la casa de Jehová.
11 Entonces hablaron los sacerdotes y los profetas a los príncipes y a todo el pueblo, diciendo: En pena de muerte ha incurrido este hombre; porque profetizó contra esta ciudad, como vosotros habéis oído con vuestros oídos.
12 Y habló Jeremías a todos los príncipes y a todo el pueblo, diciendo: Jehová me envió a profetizar contra esta casa y contra esta ciudad, todas las palabras que habéis oído.
13 Mejorad ahora vuestros caminos y vuestras obras, y oíd la voz de Jehová vuestro Dios, y se arrepentirá Jehová del mal que ha hablado contra vosotros.
1 Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.
2 For behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and thick darkness the peoples; but the Lord will arise upon you, and his glory will be seen upon you.
3 And nations shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.
4 Lift up your eyes all around, and see; they all gather together, they come to you; your sons shall come from afar, and your daughters shall be carried on the hip.
5 Then you shall see and be radiant; your heart shall thrill and exult, because the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you, the wealth of the nations shall come to you.
6 A multitude of camels shall cover you, the young camels of Midian and Ephah; all those from Sheba shall come. They shall bring gold and frankincense, and shall bring good news, the praises of the Lord.
7 All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered to you; the rams of Nebaioth shall minister to you; they shall come up with acceptance on my altar, and I will beautify my beautiful house.
1 Levántate, resplandece; porque ha venido tu luz, y la gloria de Jehová ha nacido sobre ti.
2 Porque he aquí que tinieblas cubrirán la tierra, y oscuridad las naciones; mas sobre ti amanecerá Jehová, y sobre ti será vista su gloria.
3 Y andarán las naciones a tu luz, y los reyes al resplandor de tu nacimiento.
4 Alza tus ojos alrededor y mira, todos éstos se han juntado, vinieron a ti; tus hijos vendrán de lejos, y tus hijas serán llevadas en brazos.
5 Entonces verás, y resplandecerás; se maravillará y ensanchará tu corazón, porque se haya vuelto a ti la multitud del mar, y las riquezas de las naciones hayan venido a ti.
6 Multitud de camellos te cubrirá; dromedarios de Madián y de Efa; vendrán todos los de Sabá; traerán oro e incienso, y publicarán alabanzas de Jehová.
7 Todo el ganado de Cedar será juntado para ti; carneros de Nebaiot te serán servidos; serán ofrecidos con agrado sobre mi altar, y glorificaré la casa de mi gloria.
GOD needs you ALIVE! To fulfill his purpose
His word is always to draw you back to him
22 The blessing of the Lord makes rich, and he adds no sorrow with it.
17 I shall not die, but I shall live, and recount the deeds of the Lord.
18 The Lord has disciplined me severely, but he has not given me over to death.
19 Open to me the gates of righteousness, that I may enter through them and give thanks to the Lord.
20 This is the gate of the Lord; the righteous shall enter through it.
21 I thank you that you have answered me and have become my salvation.
22 The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone.
23 This is the Lord’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes.
17 No moriré, sino que viviré, Y contaré las obras de JAH.
18 Me castigó gravemente JAH, Mas no me entregó a la muerte.
19 Abridme las puertas de la justicia; Entraré por ellas, alabaré a JAH.
20 Esta es puerta de Jehová; Por ella entrarán los justos.
21 Te alabaré porque me has oído, Y me fuiste por salvación.
22 La piedra que desecharon los edificadores Ha venido a ser cabeza del ángulo.
23 De parte de Jehová es esto, Y es cosa maravillosa a nuestros ojos.
Even when GOD breaks you it is for his purpose
1 The word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord:
2 “Arise, and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will let you hear my words.”
3 So I went down to the potter’s house, and there he was working at his wheel.
4 And the vessel he was making of clay was spoiled in the potter’s hand, and he reworked it into another vessel, as it seemed good to the potter to do.
5 Then the word of the Lord came to me:
6 “O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter has done? declares the Lord. Behold, like the clay in the potter’s hand, so are you in my hand, O house of Israel.
1 Palabra de Jehová que vino a Jeremías, diciendo:
2 Levántate y vete a casa del alfarero, y allí te haré oír mis palabras.
3 Y descendí a casa del alfarero, y he aquí que él trabajaba sobre la rueda.
4 Y la vasija de barro que él hacía se echó a perder en su mano; y volvió y la hizo otra vasija, según le pareció mejor hacerla.
5 Entonces vino a mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:
6 ¿No podré yo hacer de vosotros como este alfarero, oh casa de Israel? dice Jehová. He aquí que como el barro en la mano del alfarero, así sois vosotros en mi mano, oh casa de Israel.
