What is a real man?
S- saved by God’s grace - Ephesians 2:4-8 “But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved— and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,” (New Life in Christ)
A- adoring God - Matthew 22:34–40 “But when the Pharisees heard that he had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered together. And one of them, a lawyer, asked him a question to test him. “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.”” (Loving God and others)
V- vicious against sin- Romans 8:13 “For if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.” (Protectors)
E- exhortable- James 1:19 “Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger;” (Asking for directions)
D- dying to self- Eph. 5:25 “Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her,” Matthew 16:24 “Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.”
A real man is saved, He is saved by God’s grace, adoring God, vicious against sin, exhortable, and dying to self
