Once the Israelites had conquered the land, they had to settle into it.

Once we start to receive the goodness of God's promises we need to settle into our relationship with Him.

These are not temporary, stop-gap methods.

To encourage you to do the things that will enable you to remain in the land of promise.

Pre. 1. Learn to live the authority God has given you.

2. Build an altar in your heart that binds you to the Body of Christ.

3. Consecrate everything in and about your home and family to God.

God has made us more than conquerors.

I. Learning to live in the authority God has given us.

A. Completely destroy the enemy.

1. Joshua 10 - Enemy had been routed and fleeing.

Joshua wanted to destroy them.

2. Many times we send the enemies of our life fleeing, but we don't remove their influence from our lives, leaving them to attack us again.

B. We have been given authority, through Christ over many things.

1. Joshua 10:16-25 - Authority over the enemy y

2. Ephesians 1:15-23 - "Great power for us who believe..."

3. Luke 10:19 - I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.

4. Genesis 3:15 - "And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel."
