Opening Hymn: Standing on the promises of God
Standing on the promises of God
Standing on the promises of God
2 Thessalonians 1:6–10 (NASB95) — 6 For after all it is only just for God to repay with affliction those who afflict you, 7 and to give relief to you who are afflicted and to us as well when the Lord Jesus will be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels in flaming fire, 8 dealing out retribution to those who do not know God and to those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. 9 These will pay the penalty of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power, 10 when He comes to be glorified in His saints on that day, and to be marveled at among all who have believed—for our testimony to you was believed.
Until then we wait. Knowing with full confidence that the day is coming, and oh what a day that will be. As Jesus told his disciples just prior to his ascension to go to Jerusalem and wait there so are we to wait upon the fulfillment of all that the Lord said would come to pass.
The Revelation of The Lord Jesus Christ comes from two perspectives.
1. For those who love His appearing. Who wait for His Coming.
2. For those who have not obeyed the Gospel.
For those who love his appearing, it is a great and glorious day in the Lord and that Day is coming when the Church will be removed from this earth, and the Church will meet the Lord in the air. ( 1 Thessalonians 4 1 Corinthians 15:52. ) That will be the beginning of the Clock to the revealing to those whose fate has been sealed.
The Revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ is the balancing of the scales the clearing of the books. To brings to pass every promise spoken by the word.
When the church leaves there will only be the focus on the completed course of Israel. Everyone in the line of Abraham will be given a new heart as God is about to fulfill his promises to Abraham.
2 Thessalonians 1:8 (NASB95) — dealing out retribution to those who do not know God and to those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus

38.8 ἐκδικέω f: to punish, on the basis of what is rightly deserved—‘to punish, to cause to suffer, punishment.’[1]
We might even call it a reckoning. A payment that is due for one’s iniquity.
bedag 22.2 f: trouble involving direct suffering—‘trouble and suffering, suffering, persecution.’[2]
And who is punished? And for what are they punished for?
To those who do not acknowledge God.
📷
οἶδα to acknowledge the high status of a person or event—‘to honor, to show honor to, to respect.’[3]
Other places where we find oida where both observe and appreciate can be rendered as aknowledge
Romans 14:6 (NASB95) — 6 He who observes the day, observes it for the Lord, and he who eats, does so for the Lord, for he gives thanks to God; and he who eats not, for the Lord he does not eat, and gives thanks to God.
1 Thessalonians 5:12 (NASB95) — 12 But we request of you, brethren, that you appreciatethose who diligently labor among you, and have charge over you in the Lord and give you instruction,
It is the acknowledgement of the truth it is the saluting and saying to the Commanding officer, ”AYE AYE, Sir,” and on your way to complying with the orders that have been handed down.
These are the ones who did not acknowledge God
Condemnation does not come because one did not get the memo. It is because one has received the memo and did not heed or acknowledge the memo. And not only did they not acknowledge the memo they chose to suppress it.
Romans 1:18 (NASB95) — 18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,
John 1:5 (NASB95) — 5 The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
John 3:19 (NASB95) — 19 “This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil.
Romans tells us that they knew God. Their knowledge “Ginosko” of God is not in question. It is the failure to Acknowledge what they did know and suppressed the truth.
No, the wrath of God is not against the ignorant but against those who have received the truth and made the decision to reject it and to suppress it and even do war against the truth.
2 Thessalonians 1:8 (NASB95) — 8 dealing out retribution to those who do not know God and to those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.

36.15 ὑπακούω to obey on the basis of having paid attention to—‘to obey, obedience.[4]
Romans 10:13–16 (NASB95) — 13 for “Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.” 14 How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher? 15 How will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news of good things!” 16 However, they did not all heed (ὑπακούω) the good news; for Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our report?”
Hearing and responding by faith to the Message is being practitioners of the word.
It is understanding that the authority comes from this truth as it came from Jesus and those who were responding to the authority that Jesus carried.
Luke 4:36; John 7:46
Greek Pronunciation note: the two gama’s form what is call a gama nasal, which is pronounce as NG
33.217εὐαγγέλιονου n: (derivative of εὐαγγελίζω ‘to tell the good news,’ 33.215) the content of good news (in the NT a reference to the gospel about Jesus)—‘the good news, the gospel.’ οὐ γὰρ ἐπαισχύνομαι τὸ εὐαγγέλιον ‘for I am not ashamed of the gospel’ Ro 1:16. In a number of languages the expression ‘the gospel’ or ‘the good news’ must be rendered by a phrase, for example, ‘news that makes one happy’ or ‘information that causes one joy’ or ‘words that bring smiles’ or ‘a message that causes the heart to be sweet.’[5]
The Comprehensive message to the Jews is the good news of the Kingdom and the coming Messiah.
As Church age believers the good news is that Jesus Christ provides eternal life for all who will trust in Him for it.
For the Jews they were offered the Kingdom
For the Church it is the Spiritual life.
Deliverance of God is predicated of walking through that one door in faith the responding of the truth of the Gospel of Christ.
We were enslaved to the darkness of this world. who had our minds captive and blinded to the truth. It is the Gospel the good news message that for anyone who believes upon the Lord Jesus Christ has eternal life. it is not by means that we have it all worked out it is a matter of repentance the refusal to remain in this darkness any it is the gospel that speaks of ultimate reality a true reality of the eternal presence with God. A good God a righteous God there is a
Oh, but for those who love the darkness. They are in the Matrix They love their reality. They get to party like the Demons and with the demons. You can be like the Elohim and like them they are. They get to determine what truth is. they can be their own discerners of the truth. And when they fill the halls of the government and become legislators and can make laws protecting their own reality, they do war against God and his elect.
It is not that they did not know the truth of God. It is that they knew God and refused to acknowledge God.
It was not that Esha did not know God. It is that she refused to acknowledge the truth of God and acted on her own apart from the truth.
2 Thessalonians 1:9 (NASB95) — 9 These will pay the penalty of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power,
Like the fallen son’s of God the angels, there is no repentance. Their doom is sealed. There are those who are still in the body whom I have asked myself over and over again if there is a point of no return. And my answer is a yes.
Just as it was Pharaoh who had the opportunity to hear the Prophet and to respond to the word of the Lord but didn’t then it was God who hardened Pharaoh’s heart shutting the door to repentance.
Romans 1:26 For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions;[6]
1 Timothy 4:2 (NASB95) — 2 by means of the hypocrisy of liars seared in their own conscience as with a branding iron,
The unseen realm wishes to take as many down as they can steeling from God.
20.33 ὄλεθρος, ου m: a state of utter ruin or destruction—‘ruin, destruction.’ αἵτινες βυθίζουσιν τοὺς ἀνθρώπους εἰς ὄλεθρον ‘which cause people to sink into ruin’ or ‘which ruin people’ 1 Tm 6:9.[7]
Let’s talk about this word for destruction for a moment. The English can be a little misleading.
I often have been confused with
Matthew 10:28 (NASB95) — 28 “Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
It is being brought to ruin in the sense that there is no redeemable purpose for it.
The soul is not destroyed but is in ruin that is it is cast away forever from what it was purposed to be.
From the Church Father Clement
4Because I called and ye obeyed not, and I held out words and ye heeded not, but made My counsels of none effect, and were disobedient unto My reproofs; therefore I also will laugh at your destruction, and will rejoice over you when ruin cometh upon you, and when confusion overtaketh you suddenly, and your overthrow is at hand like a whirlwind, 5or when anguish and beleaguerment come upon you. For it shall be, when ye call upon Me, yet will I not hear you. Evil men shall seek Me and shall not find Me: for they hated wisdom, and chose not the fear of the Lord, neither would they give heed unto My counsels, but mocked at My reproofs. 6Therefore they shall eat the fruits of their own way, and shall be filled with their own ungodliness. [8]
What is ruined?
The Body and soul minus a spirit which is discarded away from the presence of God which has no relationship to.
Redemption is the which has been rendered at one point useless and brought back into a purposeful and useful condition. The grace commodity of time is the short window of opportunity to reverse the destructive effects of sin and bring back the soul from damnation.
But once that window closes then there is no return to grace to make a different decision
There are no do overs.
The ruin is eternal
📷
67.96 : αἰώνιος pertaining to an unlimited duration of time—‘eternal.’[9]
You see when something is destroyed its gone. But when something is ruined eternally it remains in existence but perpetually ruined separated from any hope of restoral.
Philippians 3:19 (NASB95) — 19 whose end is destruction, whose god is their appetite, and whose glory is in their shame, who set their minds on earthly things.
1 Thessalonians 5:3 (NASB95) — 3 While they are saying, “Peace and safety!” then destruction will come upon them suddenly like labor pains upon a woman with child, and they will not escape.
2 Thessalonians 1:9 (NASB95) — 9 These will pay the penalty of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power,
Point of Doctrine:
1. there is no universal Salvation.
2. A Just God will cast his creatures into the lake of fire.
3. A loving God provides Salvation through Grace that man may chose to not be ruined forever.
4. God lets each of us choose to respond to His Love or to receive the consequences for our own sin.
The first thing that God did in the beginning to a formless and empty world was to bring it into the light by causing light to come out of darkness. It was in that Light that God brought order out of Chaos.
In six literal days God did.
There was the spirit of God that was over the abyss, that is there was a hope that God had not abandoned it and left for dead.
1 Corinthians 15:54–57 (NASB95) — 54 But when this perishable will have put on the imperishable, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then will come about the saying that is written, “Death is swallowed up in victory. 55 “O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?” 56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law; 57 but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
It is the power of God that brought our lives from the darkness and into the light it was the power of the Gospel that did it.
There is no grace there is no mercy there is no gospel there is no availing power to bring a person out of Hell.
Not even evolution when after a million years maybe one can evolve one’s way out of hell and into glory.
Nope! No hope in evolution.
Where’s the 70 virgins for the Muslim?
Maybe the godless legislators or judges can make a law and a ruling to get out of their ruined eternal existence.
Sorry! The door of the ark which is closed by God remains closed forever.
Eternal is a long time.
Perpetual ruin is not something that I care to think about for myself or my loved ones. And it is the Gospel that makes the difference in those who acknowledges it.
away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power,[10]

85.26 πρόσωπονe, ου n: (a figurative extension of meaning of πρόσωπονa ‘face,’ 8.18) the personal presence of an individual at a particular place—‘presence, being at a place.’ πληρώσεις με εὐφροσύνης μετὰ τοῦ προσώπου σου ‘with your presence you will fill me with joy’ Ac 2:28.[11]
Those that wanted to distance themselves as far away from the one true God as possible will get their desire.
Christ is the alpha and the omega the first and the Last. The first is that he is the creator of all things. Nothing exist apart from him creating it.
The last is that he is eternal, He is the life. with he destruction of this present heavens and earth where will you go if your not in the Omega? If you have been sent away from the presence of the Lord forever.
This is the 2nddeath eternal death. No hope of recovery.
Salah = think on these things.
Closing Hymn: What a friend we have in Jesus
