SOME PEOPLE JUST DON'T GET IT

Castillo, the clerk at the cigar counter, was preoccupied with a book as a customer stood at the counter and waited. Finally, the potential customer said, "Excuse me, young man. I'd like to buy some cigars." The Puerto Rican sales clerk still ignored him so he shouted, "Hey, you, I said I'd like some cigars!" Castillo muttered, "Help yourself. I'm busy." So the customer picked out three cigars and left some money on the counter. Before leaving, he said to the sales clerk, May I ask you a question?" "Sure," Castillo shot back. "Just what is that book you seem so preoccupied with?" Castillo answered, "This? Its a book on salesmanship!"

Like this sales clerk who read about salesmanship but didn't do it, many of us as Christians spend all of our time reading the Bible instead of doing what the Bible teaches us to do. Like Castillo, we just don't seem to get it.
