Text: Mk 8:22 And he cometh to Bethsaida; and they bring a blind man unto him, and besought him to touch him. Mk 8:23 And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw ought. Mk 8:24 And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking. Mk 8:25 After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly. Mk 8:26 And he sent him away to his house, saying, Neither go into the town, nor tell it to any in the town.

The Bible records that Jesus healed seven blind men, which is significant in that He healed the blind more often then any other affliction.  Although all of the wonders of Jesus are not recorded in the Word of God we believe that those that are noted where chosen by the Holy Spirit to teach us.  Is it any wonder that the Lord wants to show us that He desires to open blind eyes?   There is much that we can learn from this miracle.  All though we may never have received the restoration of our physical sight, as Christians we have all had our spiritual sight restored.  Like the blind man in the ninth chapter of the Gospel of John who was called to explain the miracle that Jesus had worked for him we sand in awe of our new found “sight” and say with him (Jn 9:25)  “one thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see.”   I don’t understand
