As Luke juxtaposes the sending of Jesus' disciples out into their home region for ministry with Herod's questions of who Jesus is, we find some important lessons about how each of us has an account to give.

Seeing what the bible has to say about what we are responsible for in relation to the conduct of our brother's and sister's in Christ.

Jeremiah 2:1-37 God has been and conitnues to be very good to us. But people conitnue to turn away and sin. God holds people accountable for their actions. Heed Jeremiah's warning; turn away from sin and turn to God.

Psalm 50 David gives guidance to our interactions with those who have harmed us, those you are two faced in their beliefs, and the wicked. We are reminded not to forget they we have been warned and if you choose obedience you are rewarded eternally, but if you choose disobedience you are eternally separated from God.

We excercise judgement about many things every day. Jesus asks us to be wise in judgement and not to simply judge the outside or cursory things. We need wisdom and we need to be asking, seeking, and knocking that we might know how to treat others the way we want to be treated. It is possible to be decieved and so good judgement is of vital importance seeing that Jesus' way is narrow and there are few who find it. LORD, give us wisdom. Help us to be merciful to others.
