Traditions easily become used as a way to enforce prejudice. Especially after several generations of practice. We can forget to see the needs and the people around us and obey teh command to love them because we are so busy trying to keep our traditions. People are more important than our man-made traditions. Showing mercy is better than not healing on the Sabbath. While we struggle to understand and believe who Jesus really is, the demonic realm is absolutely sure of Him. And they tremble. Too bad we don't. Frequently the world sees Jesus and His followers as those who are out of their minds because spiritually things must be discerned by God's Spirit. His Spirit is in those who believe Him. The Jewish leaders blasphemed God's Spirit by attributing Jesus' works to the power of Satan. Even so, Jesus has come and is making a new family of all those who believe, both Jew and Gentile. Shared by Jason Stuart Percy at Refuge Christian Fellowship Tallahassee on Sunday, February 9, 2020.

Spiritual Famine will allow operations of wickedness in high places to rule.
Pastor Julianna encourages us in this sermon; the dyer need to intervene. To receive spiritual counsel like Bathsheba and stand in the gap to preserve life, for the will of God, and for the fullfilment of the promisses of God in our families. Stand in the gap and pray for your families. Is there sibling rivalries, jealousy, disrespect in your family?

In love John writes to believers to give them assurance of their salvation using a test of deeds produced by a changed heart: Do you love your brothers in Christ or not? He also gives great motivation to keep loving the imperfect saints he has placed us with: meditate on the perfect love of our Saviour in laying down His life for our redemption.

Malachi 6. We are back in the book of Malachi again [P], up to chapter 2 now! You may care to turn there in your Bibles. Last time I used this borrowed overview [P] to show where we had got up to. Verse 1 of chapter 1 was an introduction [P], then (v.2-5) was an oracle, a burden or a heavy message for…

If Anyone Has the World's Goods - "But if anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God’s love abide in him?" (1 John 3:17, ESV) 1. We must define the families before we define the siblings. When we talk about "brother or sister" it is always…

Just as He Has Commanded Us "And this is his commandment, that we believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ and love one another, just as he has commanded us." (1 John 3:23, ESV) 1. John combines faith and action again in this verse - that we believe and love. "A new commandment I give to you, that…
