Jesus was our propitiation to appease the wrath of God. But, He was also our expiation to make amends for our wrong doing and remove our guilt. He was the atoning sacrifice.

Holiness creates a line in the sand. We are called to live above that line, on God's side. A message on seeking God's holiness and standard for living Holy lives.

1 Peter 1:13-17 We need to be holy! Not just on certains days of the year or in some circumstance, but in all conservations , actions, and all days.

Genesis 1:27, 31, 2:16-17 Ezek 18:4, 32, Epehseians 2:1-3, 9-8, Luke 11:42, Matthew 23:13 So many questions about sin and forgiveness...ultimately we need to understand that we are all guilty of sin but through God's grace we are forgiven if we choose Him.

2 Peter 3:11-14 Peter is telling us the Day of the Lord is coming. You must be ready. We must be living accordingly with holines and godliness? Are you?

Ever daydream about suddenly becoming rich? How that would change your mindset and life? Does knowing that heaven is our inheritance enamor us in the same way? Why not? This lesson about spritual mindsets focuses on "Whatever is pure...think about such things."

Jesus pulls no punches in warning those who follow Him of the reality of rejection and sorrow and trouble. He promises to be present via the Holy Spirit who will teach us and He promises that He overcomes the world. It is the desire of Jesus that those who follow Him should be united and working together in love. LORD, help us! Philippians 2:12-18 The work of a Christian is not limited to simply sharing the gospel. There is very serious work to be done in the Christian's life to develop into the person God wants us to be, so as to have a greater relationship with Him and better serve Him.

"I believe; help thou mine unbelief." Even a Christian may believe in the word of God but have room for more trust in His word. This lesson examines the trustworthiness of God, our attitude must reflect our trust, and our actions must reflect our trust.

What spirit are you harboring in your heart? The spirit of jezebel or the Spirit of Elijah? The jezebel spirit will tear up a church and if we do not know what is making you dead, how do you know what it takes to make you alive? Elisha knew, and in that moment he dropped everything for the call from God. When God calls you respond! Respond boldly and do not worry what others say or think because it is God that matters.

Jesus believes the words of Moses and the prophets and the psalms. He believes they are God's words and that they must come to pass. Whether you believe them or not, is your problem to figure out. Jesus has been raised from the dead where He remains alive rescuing all those who lay their trust in Him. There is no other hope beyond death. No matter what happens in our lifetime or those after us or before us... if Jesus is alive and if Jesus raises the dead... we would be wise to consider what this means for us. For our children and our friends and our enemies. Church, let us believe the writings, as our King. Let us be committed to Holy living and service demonstrating the characteristics of the Kingdom that is quickly coming in fullness. Be strong, the night is far spent, the Day is at hand. It is no secret the church in Corinth was riddled with problems: party spirit, immorality, disunity, false teaching--sort of sounds like many local churches today. But Paul had a deep affection for them--and told them the truth about who they were--who God said they were. They were saints--holy people. But how can that be, given the massive issues the Corinthians struggled with? And what does this truth mean to you and me today? Come with the Grace United crew as we found out the reasons why Paul was able to call the Corinthian Christians holy.

Job was asked the question about his whereabouts when God created the Heavens and the earth. The greatness of God is beyond our imagination but if you look around at the mountains, seas, valleys, and all the things that man can't create.

Jesus is very confident in the sovereignty of God. He is not afraid of the misunderstandings of others or of their lack of trust. He is sure in Himself and in the Work of the Father. God has promised rivers of flowing or living water flowing out of our inmost being... He didn't leave us to wonder what that means. God gives Himself, He gives His Spirit to those who trust in Him. God is present with us always, even to teh end of the age. Don't be afraid, dear Saint. God is not wondering what is happening as you are. He is not confused. He doesn't feel as though things are out of control. You might feel this way. He does not. God reigns on His throne as Sovereign over all of His creation. I would do well to trust Him.
