2 Peter 1:10-15 Peter reminds us we need to sure of our salvation. We do this by being truthful in our walk with the Lord and continue to grow and serve Jesus. If you are not, then today is the day to turn to God and begin anew with a clean and open heart.

How do we prepare our hearts as a welcome home for Jesus when we have fear and uncertainty in our lives? God sent His Son to close the gap in our relationship with God. How did Mary go from saying "I can't" in verse 34 to being ready to do God's Will in verse 38?

Luke 4:14-30 There are many times in life when we are faced with tough decisions; these become the defining moments of our lives. In the sermon Truth or Consequences Pastor Coon challenges us with being truthful, suffering the consequences, and how those decisions will define us.

Sense of security when we think about home. Creating a home in our heart for Jesus. Is Jesus welcome to our own home? How to prepare our hearts to be a home for Jesus. What kind of home do we have prepared for God right now? Matthew 1:18-25. Joseph had an opportunity to prepare a home for Jesus on the very first Christmas. Do we choose to participate in God's work? 1. Are we willing to move from "fear" to "faith"? 2. Is the home of my heart going to be rash? or reflective? Do I react? Or do I respond? 3. A maturing follower of Christ is shortening the distance between reacting and responding. 4. Is my home cowardly or courageous to what God wants me to do? Many of us fall short in our spiritual walk with Christ. 5. Is my home selfish? Or selfless? Less of myself and more of God?

Luke 9:18-27 Being a disciple is often described as being a follower of Jesus Christ. But, being a true disciple of Jesus is much more. There is a price to being a disciple of Jesus that many do not see, but there is also hope in being a disciple.

We are created in God's image. There's a vacancy in the soul of man that can only be filled by God, we long for that. Home is a very important place for us. Jesus made this Earth his home. Jesus was here for 33 yeras and changed the Earth in 3 years with his ministry. Home is translated from the Bible to Tabernacle. From the book of Exodus, that's where he dwelt upon. Jesus wants Him to be our home. He dwells in us, he loves us. We're his home, the church is his home. I can't but He can. It's not "who you are", but "who's you are", who you belong to. God has made His home in us, we just have to accept Him into our hearts.

Often, even as followers of Jesus, we find our immediate response regarding behavioral psychological issues to be more in line with an unbelieving, materialistic, naturalistic worldview. This, in spite of the fact that Jesus regularly dealt with, talked about, and affirmed the reality of the meta-physical, the unseen spiritual world in which we live. At the very least, we should pause and pray, consider, and seek the LORD in the situations in which we find ourselves in relation to the people around us in regard to both their and our behavior. Maybe there's more to humans that random, electrical impulses, synapses, and chemicals. Where do we draw the line anyhow? And who gets to decide where that line even is? God has made a world full of powerful elements. Medicine can be good. We ought to trust in God and be wise. We are to live by faith. Kelly shared with us today the story of the Prodigal Son. The father was waiting with wide open arms for his lost son to come home. The Father does the same with us. God is always home. He always leaves the light on for us! Is our home a place where God would like to visit? Are we serving and showing the fruit of the Spirit?
