Jesus has his own schedule in everything. He is good and kind and trustworthy and faithful. And He does whatever He pleases. He really does care for us, even in the seemingly small things. We may bring our request to Him at any time. Mary's final words are continually apropos, 'Whatever He says to you, do it!'. They are wise who abide in His Word. Jesus assures Nicodemus that the prophecies of Ezekiel are true and that God will give new Birth, a Birth that is from above, a Birth through His Spirit. A supernatural birth. Jesus is ready and able to rescue any who come to Him... alas, too many abide in condemnation, in wrath, for they love darkness and will not come into the light. Dear friend, if you haven't yet, please come into the light that you might have everlasting life in Him, life in He who is True Light. He has so loved the world. These thoughts shared by Jason Stuart Percy at Refuge TLH in Tallahassee, FL on Sunday, November 21, 2021.

To enter the Kingdom of God, to know eternal life and joy, to be saved from your sin you must be born again. That is to be spiritually transformed, made new. To enter into eternal life you must become something that you are not and only Jesus can do that.

This morning's sermon is going to have a different feel. The actual passage we are reading is only five verses. But these five verses build on a few other passages in the Gospel of John. And what these verses will help us do, is get a sense of the book as a whole. I'm hoping, after this morning, that…

Nicodemus, a ruling council member, came to see Jesus at night. As a member of the Council, Nicodemus was concerned that Jesus might be another revolutionary, bust respectfully addressed Jesus as "Rabbi". Jesus let him know that Jesus was more than a Rabbi, and had come to die for all people. Nicodemus' faith grew from a cautious approach to taking action to resolution at the end of the Gospel.

A week ago, I heard a voice saying, “John 3:16. You need to preach from John 3:16.” My first thought was that the Holy Spirit was speaking through His still small voice. Then I realized it was really Joy Harrod sitting next to me in Sunday School class. Then, later in the week, it dawned on me that God…

Commentary: John 3:1-2 This man Nicodemus was a religious man who knew the OT very well (atleast he thought he did).
