The Coming of the Holy Spirit
Ruel Guerrero • Grace Communion Las Vegas • Sermon • • 100 views • 32:26
The Church tends to huddle together, enjoying each other's company, & sharing life. But the Holy Spirit wants to spread the good news of the Kingdom and Christ. When persecution hit the Church in Jerusalem, the disciples were forced to flee outward throughout Judea and Samaria. Philip brought the good news to the Samaritans, healing, delivering, and baptizing them. However, they did not receive the Spirit till Peter & John laid hands on them. The Spirit always works outside our neat boxes.

Come & See
Tristram McCormack • Amboy Friends Church • Sermon • • 15 views • 34:03
Today, Tristram dives into the passage of John 1:45-51 where Nathanael asks Philip, "Nazareth, Can anything good come out of Nazareth?" We know this answer to be true. In this same way we can ask ourselves, "Can anything good from us as Christians and our faith in Christ?" Philip's response was, "Come & See." It takes our actions to make our faith real to others. They must see our faith lived out.

Passage: Acts 8:26-40. Our calling as Christians to share the gospel with people must be driven by our love for people and our trust in God. Philip the Evangelist embodies this as he helps the Ethiopian eunuch to understand who Jesus is and what he has done.

3. of our involvement (vs. 29-37).

By Pastor Glenn Pease If Simon the Zealot was a right-winger and Matthew the Publican a left- winger, Philip was a cautious middle of the roader. He had both liberal and conservative leanings. “A DIVINE ASSIGNMENT” Acts 8:26-40 More and more in my devotional time I have been led to meditate on one simple word—Yes! Introduction: Acts, in the NT canon, really opens up God's agenda for us. If there was ever a question of what God wants, what God is up to, or how to join in God's work, Acts answers it.
