In Jesus, God’s holiness comes as an invitation. In Jesus, holiness is no longer corrupted by the unholy (as described in the priestly context of ritual purity)- but rather is in itself an invitation to a transformation in holiness. Baptism is a sacrament that expresses this holiness as a cleansing stream that flows from God’s heart.
