Jesus intends that we use liberty, freedom as a means to serve others. Too often our liberty is viewed as an end in itself but no man is an island, as the saying goes. We are to be thinking of others, not only ourselves. When we've done well, our inward attitude is to say of ourselves, 'we are unprofitable servants, we've only done what was commanded'. Let this be a guard against arrogance and conceit; a bulwark to protect against that wicked separator of men, pride. It is clear that serving others may yield little reward from them, that is not the aim. We ought to please our Master. He is the Chief Magistrate. In the end, our King, while absent, has assured us of His return and of the consequences of such. He does not show favoritism to anyone. These thoughts shared by Jason Stuart Percy at Refuge TLH in Tallahassee, FL on Sunday, September 12, 2021.

1 Corinthians 16:13-14
The begining of a new year often marks new changes in our lives. Many of us make New Year's resolutions. How long we hold to them depends on our determination to seeing them through. In this new year we need to be determined to shore up many of those spiritually weak areas in our lives.

After everything that Jesus has taught about what to expect before His coming what do we need to learn? How should we live in expectation of His coming again?

Jesus Messiah

As Christians, we need to be certain that the Bible is God's word. One of the things God has placed in the Bible to help us know it is His word are prophetic statements. God tells us what will happen, and it happens just like He said it would. God provided a number of prophecies about the Messiah coming. We can look at how those came true and know that the Bible is, in fact, God's word.

Jesus Christ is coming again. He promised He would. Christ’s coming Kingdom is important part of our faith and we need to grow in understanding it and in our desire for it. Here Jesus gives us a little more detail about His Kingdom. His Kingdom has come, His Kingdom will come and His Kingdom is forever.

By Pastor Glenn Pease O Henry tells a short story of the lad who grew up in a small village and sat next to a lovely young lady so innocent and sweet. He left that village for the big city where he got in with the wrong crowd and became a thief and a pick pocket. One day as he was working the crowd,…

Malachi 8. [P] Now isn’t that a cute picture? – maybe it is just a father’s bias. But it is a photo with significance. There is Hannah, under the age of two, and what is she doing? Tucking into the sweet-corn. There is photographic evidence – and no, it is not photo-shopped – that Hannah liked sweet-corn.…

Malachi 7. Malachi was the messenger of יהוה, “My messenger” is what his name means [P] – and he had a heavy message from יהוה to deliver to His people. In fact this was the last message from יהוה to His people before He was silent for some 400 years! This is His final word to them! The message was heavy,…

Malachi 3:7-12 "'From the days of your fathers you have turned aside from My statutes, and have not kept them. Return to Me, and I will return to you,' says the Lord of hosts." "But you say, 'How shall we return?'" It is almost as predictable as leaves falling in the Autumn or the pollen count going…

1 Jesus Is Coming Back 1 Corinthians 15:35-58 An 8-year-old boy, who was learning in school about the way plants grow, was intrigued when told how a tiny seed that germinates in the ground could later burst through the soil as a plant. During that same time, he and his family attended the funeral of…
