Philippians 3:1-3 What is it to be a "true believer" of Jesus Christ? Here we look at some of the distinctive qualities, those heart attitudes that are found in the lives of true believers.

Philippians 4:1-9 Continuing to look at God's Peace, the focus turns to our thought life. Using the Word of God to help filter our thoughts and choosing what we dwell promotes the peace God has for us.

James 1:5-12 Trials and hardships are going to come our way. The question is how do we face and overcome those trials? The book of James helps us to better understand how to face those trials, but also how to gain wisdom as we go through those trials.

Luke 1:5-25 Zacharias was given a promise by God that seemed too good to be true. In the same way there are promises given to believers from the Word of God that some times seem almost too good to be true.

What is temperance? How do we let what is right in the word take control?

1 Corinthians 4:2

We excercise judgement about many things every day. Jesus asks us to be wise in judgement and not to simply judge the outside or cursory things. We need wisdom and we need to be asking, seeking, and knocking that we might know how to treat others the way we want to be treated. It is possible to be decieved and so good judgement is of vital importance seeing that Jesus' way is narrow and there are few who find it. LORD, give us wisdom. Help us to be merciful to others.
