Seven Signs
Austin Keller • Ubly Christian Church • Sermon • • 13 views • 21:09
At the wedding of Cana, Jesus signals the first of his Messianic signs -turning water into wine. This transformation of water into wine is the first sign Jesus gives for our benefit so that we taste the coming wine/blood given by Christ to his church.

Why did Jesus turn water into wine? Was it fermented? Was it a sin for Jesus to make wine as many skeptics claim? Is it a license for us to drink wine without limits? How do you answer a loved one who is an alcoholic defending their actions by pointing to Jesus' first recorded miracle? The answers are all found within Scripture and a look at the historical setting of the first century.

John 2021-2022

Jesus has his own schedule in everything. He is good and kind and trustworthy and faithful. And He does whatever He pleases. He really does care for us, even in the seemingly small things. We may bring our request to Him at any time. Mary's final words are continually apropos, 'Whatever He says to you, do it!'. They are wise who abide in His Word. Jesus assures Nicodemus that the prophecies of Ezekiel are true and that God will give new Birth, a Birth that is from above, a Birth through His Spirit. A supernatural birth. Jesus is ready and able to rescue any who come to Him... alas, too many abide in condemnation, in wrath, for they love darkness and will not come into the light. Dear friend, if you haven't yet, please come into the light that you might have everlasting life in Him, life in He who is True Light. He has so loved the world. These thoughts shared by Jason Stuart Percy at Refuge TLH in Tallahassee, FL on Sunday, November 21, 2021.
Luke 2021

Jesus is not surprised as we are. His humble obedience to the Father, even to the point of death, becomes for us a guiding principle as we follow Jesus. We often fail. He knows. He knew from the beginning. Still He has committed Himself to us His disciples. We have been left with two wonderful traditions by which we proclaim the good news of Jesus' Kingdom. The church of Jesus has continued in these two practices since her beginning and shall until our King returns. Make no mistake, it may look like He is failing at times. He is not. His Kingdom comes. Let us be those who watch and wait and learn to trust Him. These thoughts were shared by Jason Stuart Percy at Refuge TLH in Tallahassee, FL on Sunday, October 17, 2021.
Miracles: The King Remakes His World

Theme: Jesus changes water into wine. The motive that God gave this sign was to fulfill up religious practices and to show that he is the fulfillment of everything that the people of Israel had been doing in the past. The first sing that Jesus gives is to fill up with himself the whole institution of why he invented and instituted marriage in this world.

By Pastor Glenn Pease In his book Like A Mighty Army, Halford Luccock tells an interesting story about theatrical history. In the middle of the 19th century the right to produce dramatic performances was limited to a few theaters which had been able to develop a monopoly. Some bright boys of the theater…

By Pastor Glenn Pease A French pilot, by the name of Guillaumet flew over the Andes on a regular basis. One time he disappeared for a week, and hope that he would be found was given up. Jesus did not drink or make alcoholic wine. Here are ten proofs from Scripture. THE FIRST REASON IS BECAUSE OF HIS HOLY NATURE. In Heb. 7:26, we read that the Lord Jesus is "holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners." No doubt, the Saviour, being God in the flesh, had an air of holiness about…
