In Genesis 15 God promises Abraham (and Sarah by association) that he would have a child and more descendents than stars in the sky. However, ten years later when Sarah still hadn't become pregnant she took matters into her own hands. She gave her slave, Hagar, to Abraham to bear him a child. Which Hagar did. But that action created a lot of strive and conflict between Sarah and Hagar, and Sarah and Abraham. We'll talk about patience and trust, and what happens when we try and accomplish the promises of God by our own timetables and hands.

The Pharaoh didn't recognize the impact of Joseph nor the God that blessed his life; therefore, he saw the children of Israel as a threat to the nation and decided it was best to make them their slaves, controlling the population ensuring that a revolt would be impossible. He wanted to kill all of the newborn Hebrew sons. The two Hebrew midwives that were brought to light are Puah (means "Childbearing") and Shiphrah (means "Procreate"). They stood as guardians of life for the next generation.

“Building the King in our Kids” As parents I believe the worst mistake we can make is not see the king in our kids. The earlier you discover who you are the better you will be and the sooner it will come to past. David was anointed some say as early as 10. But no one is exactly sure. But the point is…
