In the midst of betrayal, marginalizing, and social pressures, Christians can find comfort and hope in Christ’s future reign. There is a day coming where God will make all wrongs right and Obadiah reminds us of this.

Isaiah 40:1-31 God sent good news through his prophets. We need God to rescue us and he did through his son Jesus! God is not small; he is sovereign, all knowing, almighty, the ultimate power. Trust in him and you will soar and not grow weary or faint!

Find encouragement in the gift of unity, with Jesus and with one another. We are one with Jesus, He abides in us and we abide in Him, and His love for us is a constant source of encouragement.

We struggle together as Christians as we seek to follow Jesus. Do you have it all together? How do we keep our hearts focussed on Jesus and how do we put to death the things of this world that keep us from him?

God came restore us with grace, comfort, and fullness. Job was blessed when he endured. In Genesis 50:20 Joseph says, "But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive. Philippians 1:12-26 Serving God and advancing the gospel will always cost something. In Philippians we see three things that advancing the gospel may cost us, but keeping in mind it will be worth it.

How often do we demand of God to tell us his reasons for allowing us, or our loved ones, to go through affliction? Indeed, the "checkmate question" so many ask to "prove" God is not good or he does not care is, "If God is all loving, why is there evil?" Why DOES God allow his choice servants to suffer affliction? No doubt we have read Jesus' words, "faithful in little, faithful in much." Paul's enemies did their level best to convince the Christians in Corinth that Paul was not faithful in the "little things" and therefore could not be trusted in the big things--like giving them the gospel. A big question: did the false teachers succeed in convincing the Corinthians that Paul was unfaithful? How did Paul handle this charge against him? And what does this mean for us today? In a word? A LOT? To what extent? Come with the Grace United crew as we discover how Paul navigated this false charge levied against him and what it means for us today.

What does it mean to live a life undistracted, uncluttered, lived only for and unto Jesus Christ? Go to the mountains of Montana and be a hermit to get away from people? What about marriage relationships or especially when a couple has become engaged to be married, how does one live an undistrated life to the Lord? If we knew the Lord was coming back tomorrow and you were engaged, would you go ahead and get married or break it off? So many questions. Such is the stuff of life as a Christian. How to live life with a single heart, though married, or tied up in an engaged relationship is what Paul deals with in this message.
