Romans 1:1-7 (CWSB)
1 Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,
2 (Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the Holy Scriptures,)
3 Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;
4 And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:
5 By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name;
6 Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ:
7 To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Maybe we cannot understand what they are going through, but we can still pray for them and we can learn from them. They can teach us. The question is what can you learn from those who are being persecuted for their faith? How can we apply what they know and experience from their culture to ours which is vastly different? Fortunately there is something that we still do have in common with them. It is our faith in Jesus and the Word of God. Today I am going to share five things I think we can learn from Martyrs.

Jesus is very confident in the sovereignty of God. He is not afraid of the misunderstandings of others or of their lack of trust. He is sure in Himself and in the Work of the Father. God has promised rivers of flowing or living water flowing out of our inmost being... He didn't leave us to wonder what that means. God gives Himself, He gives His Spirit to those who trust in Him. God is present with us always, even to teh end of the age. Don't be afraid, dear Saint. God is not wondering what is happening as you are. He is not confused. He doesn't feel as though things are out of control. You might feel this way. He does not. God reigns on His throne as Sovereign over all of His creation. I would do well to trust Him. LORD, increase our faith. These thoughts shared by Jason Stuart Precy at Refuge TLH in Tallahassee, FL on Sunday, January 2, 2022.

At home on the shelves in our hallway, there is a card I made when I was younger. That may not seem out of the ordinary – it's the kind of thing children tend to do after all. But I remember that I got my mum to help me make the card – again, this is a fairly standard procedure for children. But the…

INTRODUCTION It is often asked by dedicated belivers, "What is it God wants from us?" This is a question around which pivots the essence of true religion.
