What kind of worship does God accept? Or perhaps, a more basic question is, does God accept the worship of every Christian in every church gathering? We know that there were times when he rejected the worship offered from his people in the Old Testament. Does he ever reject the worship of Christians? And what about the spiritual gifts of speaking in tongues and prophecy? Paul writes good, solid instruction in these matters and so many more in this passage. John gives us some great wisdom about God: 1. God gives us a limited revelation (vs. 20-22). 2. God gives us a worthy obligation (vs. 22). 3. God gives us needed clarification (vs. 23). 4. God deserves our glorification (vs. 24-25). 5. God gives us a confident expectation (vs. 24-25).

God's best for our lives includes: 1. God's grace (vs. 20, 24). 2. Godly greetings (vs. 21-23). 3. Giving glory to God (vs. 25-27).

1. Jesus came to fulfill God's promises to the Jews (vs. 8). 2. Jesus came so that all people could glorify God (vs. 8-11). 3. Jesus came to give us godly hope (vs. 12-13).

When we think of the Christmas story most of us turn to Matthew or Luke's account. These are amazing and detailed accounts of the birth of Christ. But in the book of John, we find an amazing telling of the incarnation. It is very short, only one verse, but it tells us all we need to know about Christ's birth.

Here's how to do it: 1. Pray for God to feel at home in our hearts (vs. 17, 19). 2. Pray for us to know the Lord's infinite love (vs. 17-19). 3. Feed your faith on God’s ability (vs. 20-21). 4. Give all the glory to God (vs. 21).

What should we do when our government is ungodly? 1. Spend more time with our Savior (vs. 13). 2. Always choose God over government (vs. 14-20). 3. Keep speaking about our Savior (vs. 20). 4. Keep giving glory to God (vs. 21-22).

Godly Lessons from an Ungodly Leader: 1. Evil will always rise when God is rejected (vs. 18-20). 2. Christ is in control (vs. 18-19). 3. We should always give glory to God (vs. 20-23). 4. We should always keep our minds on our mission (vs. 24-25).
