What are we to do with the Scriptures that talk about seeing and hearing Jesus? Are you seeing and hearing Jesus at all? Do you want to? Do you want your relationship with Jesus to be more intimate? How can you experience Jesus in such a tangible way? What would that look like? By taking a deeper look at Jesus' words about entering the Kingdom of God as a child, we will see the very heart of God. We will also find that not only did Jesus exemplify the same when He walked on the earth, but that is the way to draw close to His presence everyday.

This lesson looks at more teachings from Jesus during the Sermon on the Mount. Jesus taught about how to judge others, how to ask God for things, how to treat others, which gate to enter in, and what those who hear and do what Jesus says are like.

Jesus' ministry on Earth presented Himsefl as the Messiah to Israel and offered His promised Kingdom to His people. While many rejected His Kingdom by rejecting the King, some believed and have entered that Kingdom. Jesus instructions for those following Him are universal; we deny ourselves, however we have previously defined ourselves, and we submit to His authority. He is, after all, the King of His Kingdom. We often listen to the voices of our generation; we would do well to greater attention to the things Jesus has taught. He is the Eternal King, after all. Jesus doesn't gaurantee things will go the way we want; He promsises we will be recieved into an everlasting Kingdom. This is a great hope since, no matter what else happens, we are all dying. We face choices every day and have a lot of things to navigate through in the course of a lifetime. Does God care about the choices we make? Does He care enough to SPEAK TO US about them? Yes! Learning to listen to God is just as foundational to being a disciple as learning to speak with Him.

Just how do we go about listening to God when we face situations where we truly need His input and perspective? There is a process we all go through, but stop many times before we hear Him. This process needs to become like breathing for us!

How well have you learned to hear your Father’s voice? Joh 10:27 (Jesus) My sheep hear My voice, and I know them,…

Do You Hear His Voice? Judges 6:7-10 "That the LORD sent a prophet unto the children of Israel,…but ye have not obeyed my voice." No other prophet is mentioned in this book except Deborah. Hearing from the Lord and Reading His Word *Often people tell me that the Lord doesn't talk to them the way He does me and they wonder why. I can't say for sure, but I do have a suspicion of what the reason might be. You see, He didn't always talk to me the way He does now nor was it daily like it is…
