Last week we discussed the truth that we are all addicted to something. And we need to admit that we are powerless, that in our own power our lives are unmanageable. Until we admit this, we will keep living broken, miserable lives. As Paul wrote: For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that…

22 But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. 23 For if you listen to the word and don’t obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror. 24 You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like. 27 So God created human beings in…

God’s Design As I told you all last week, for the next three weeks we are going to be taking a journey around how we can best share our faith with others. One of the favorite buzz words used in our culture today is the phrase, “toxic masculinity.” This is the idea that to be a man is to be toxic. It is the idea that we must, in our understanding and according to our own pleasures and lusts, redefine what it means to be a man. In fact, that line of reasoning,…

Good Morning. Turn with me to Psalm 19. I want to begin our time today by starting with a question. Why should we praise God? Tending the Garden - Pastor Sven Frantzen 2023-06-03
Theme Text: Genesis 1:28 NKJV
Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
It is spring time and we are all looking to a great season of growing plants in our garden. Whether it is fruits, berries, or just beautiful plants, we are excited about tending our gardens.
God has called us from the very beginning to tend the garden. He said this in Genesis 1:28: “And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it:”
But there is another garden that God wants us to tend; the garden of the Kingdom of God. God asks us to carry fruit worthy of repentance. This sermon highlights how you can help grow the fruits in the Kingdom of God.

In the Bible, there are several attributes of God that can be described as "Motherly". These attributes highlight God's caring and nurturing nature towards his people.
Overall, these "Motherly" attributes of God show his love and care for his people. They remind us that God is not just a distant, all-powerful deity, but a loving and nurturing parent who desires the best for his children.
