Discovering Revelation Part 31!
Last week in Discovering Revelation we looked at Satan our adversary whom I have described as Ephesians does as the Prince of the Power of the Air! We must understand he rules the world system!
• He rules every lost person whether they know it or not! Amen?
• Satan is the current King over every nation on the planet!
• Really, there is only one nation in the world, you can place every single nation in this category
• And satan rules over it!
• He is thee Pastor to the secular world at large!
• The majority of the world is following this Prince of the power of the air! Satan!
• Matthew 7 tells us so with the wide road with the wide gate and the narrow road with the narrow gate!
• Vs. 13. “The gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it.”
• Vs. 14. For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.
• Listen, folks We the church at one time were ruled by him! Amen?
• You and I! All of us in this room this morning!
Ephesians 2:1-3
1 And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, 2 in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience. 3 Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest.
• Look you and I were just like Satan! Lost in the world! Without hope in this world!
• You and I were Satan’s own disciples! Amen?
• If I would have looked at a picture of you prior to being Saved you would have looked just like the devil himself! Amen? That Angel of light!
• We were depraved, we were dishonest with God and with others!
• We were all liars liars pants on fire! Amen?
• We were thieves, deceptive, looking out for our own best interest! Amen?
• We were living in self-gratification pleasing our flesh in every area of our life!
• There was not one good person among us!
• Our hearts were deceitfully and desperately wicked!
Question: Now who does that sound like? Satan! No Phil Horne! Daneen Horne, Pick so folks! Amen?
• But now listen to what Gods Word does say! Amen?
Ephesians 2:4-7
4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus 7 so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
• Oh Glory! Because of His rich mercy!
• Because of His great Love!
• He makes us all alive together with Christ Jesus!
• God raised Jesus and raised us as well! Amen?
• Not on,y did He raise us up He has seated us all in heavenly places in Christ Jesus! Amen? Why?
• So that in the ages to come He might sow the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward all of us in Christ Jesus! Amen! Amen! Amen! Amen! Why?
Ephesians 2:8-9
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9 not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.
• That free gift! We can’t work it, we don’t deserve it, we are not good enough to get it! On and in and on! Amen!
• So church we must all and I mean all remember who we are or whose we are! Amen?
• We are His Ambassadors of a Kingdom not of this world. That is our inheritance!
• We don’t belong here anymore! Amen! Jesus Saved us! Amen?
• Now let’s look at the enemy of this world we all live in!
I want us to look at this person in the world today and I would like to call him “The man!”
• We are going to look at “The man!” The Anti-Christ!
• That ultimate man who will real soon come on the scene! Why? So that you will recognize him when he comes! Amen?
• He will be charismatic in nature, very dynamic, quite charming and will be so full of himself!
• Chapter 13 gives this man the designation number what church? 666! Amen?
• For It was the 6th day that God made man in His own image! Male and female! Amen!
• God blessed them to be fruitful and multiply!
• Also, Bond-slaves were set free after 6 years of slavery!
• Listen to what John had to say in 1 John 2 about “The man!”
1 John 2:17-18
17 The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever. 18 Children, it is the last hour; and just as you heard that antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have appeared; from this we know that it is the last hour.
• So I want to list 6 Characteristics of the Coming One world Ruler! Anti-Christ!
• He’s called the man of sin, the lawless one, the beast, the little horn, the Prince that shall come
• The Old Testament and New Testament predict this anti-Christ!
• There were Anti-Christ types through all the ages!
6 Characteristics of the Coming One World Ruler!
1. Wicked:
Revelation 13:1
1 And the dragon stood on the sand of the seashore.
Then I saw a beast coming up out of the sea, having ten horns and seven heads, and on his horns were ten diadems, and on his heads were blasphemous names.
• Called the Beast! Or wicked man! The most insidious man in the world!
• Beast in the Greek means, thērion; a dangerous animal: — (venomous, wild) beast or monster!
• John gets this vision of a beast rising up out of the sea!
• This is a person rising up out of the Sea of the Nations of the world!
• We know this because of the personal pronouns, Him,His, and He beast like person!
• Vicious, man of sin! Apostle Paul called him the son of perdition! Lawless one, wicked person!
• He doesn’t begin that way! He was smooth!
• Revelation 6 he was a peace maker! 7 year plan! Rider in the White Horse remember?
• First 31/2 years peace, second half wicked!
• He ends wickedly! All about World Dominance!
2. World Dominion:
2 And the beast which I saw was like a leopard, and his feet were like those of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. And the dragon gave him his power and his throne and great authority.
• Appears as a Leopard, Bear, Lion, and a Dragon!
• So, here the vision appears to John like it appeared to Daniel! 600 years prior! Amen?
• You may have recognized this from before you Bible readers!
• Daniel had a vision in Chapter 7 the succession of world kingdoms are represented here from his time looking forward! How could he know! Right?
• Lion -> with wings of an eagle! Representing the empire of Babylon! Very feared in nature!
• Bear -> with 3 ribs in its mouth! Representing the Medo-Persian empire!
• Leopard -> 4 wings moving! The Grecian Empire! - Alexander the Great!
• Beast with 10 Horns. (Which is unified) vicious and ferocious for One overall Kingdom!
Revelation 13:7
It was also given to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them, and authority over every tribe and people and tongue and nation was given to him.
• One World Empire!
• Authority will be given him over every nation of the world!
• This “Rising up out of the Sea” as John describes represents nations of the world!
Isaiah 17:12
Alas, the uproar of many peoples Who roar like the roaring of the seas, And the rumbling of nations Who rush on like the rumbling of mighty waters!
Revelation 17:1-2
1 Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and spoke with me, saying, “Come here, I will show you the judgment of the great harlot who sits on many waters, 2 with whom the kings of the earth committed acts of immorality, and those who dwell on the earth were made drunk with the wine of her immorality.”
• Sea of Humanity! Gentile Nations!
• John’s vision is of Mediterranean in nature! Where he lived! Amen?
• 7 Heads, and 10 Horns!
• Daniel sees the same thing!
Daniel 7:23-24
23 “Thus he said: ‘The fourth beast will be a fourth kingdom on the earth, which will be different from all the other kingdoms and will devour the whole earth and tread it down and crush it. 24 As for the ten horns, out of this kingdom ten kings will arise; and another will arise after them, and he will be different from the previous ones and will subdue three kings.
• This Beast! 10 Horn’s and 1 little horn coming from amongst them! The man the Anti-Christ!
• Folks this is Globalism which is already being propagated throughout our world today!
• Why do you think certain national leaders make huge business deals with other national leaders on the side!
• It’s all about making a one world economy for a one world order!
• Leaders scratching each other’s backs with their sights focused on a one world leader to lead every nation on the globe in a one world government with a one world economy to govern all things top to bottom from one leader to everyone!
• It’s coming folks and you can mark it down! Why?
• Because Gods Infallible Word says it right here! Amen? Keep watching the news!

• Next characteristic of the Anti-Christ!
3. Wonder: Head wounded, Satan’s Masterpiece!
3 I saw one of his heads as if it had been slain, and his fatal wound was healed. And the whole earth was amazed and followed after the beast;
• Remember 6 Million Dollar! Amen Lee Majors wanted to be like him!
• Anti-Christ is the 666 Million Dollar man!
• The Dragon/Satan is who gives the Anti-Christ his power!
• Listen, just we are disciples of Christ don’t think that Satan doesn’t have his own disciples!
• Head mortally wounded - will be a revived world empire! Think about this!
• History tells us of the various world empires that existed through time! There was the……….
• Egyptian Empire
• Assyrian Empire
• Babylonian Empire
• Medo-Persian Empire
• Greek Empire
• Roman Empire
• The 7th Revived Roman Empire will be with the Anti-Christ leading as the leader!
• Other scholars see the head wound correlated with a resurrection!
• It has to e a staged resurrection as the devil does not have that kind of power!
• Satan’s pick for Anti-Christ dies and a funeral raises him from the dead!
• Everyone globally sees it and what happens?
• Wonder, Marvel, amazement worldwide!
• People are mesmerized by it! In shock! Reality TV stuff!
• Listen to what Jesus said about this!
John 5:43
I have come in My Father’s name, and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his own name, you will receive him.
• Listen, wonder is the next step to Worship!
4. Worship: wonder to worship, from adulation to adoration! See it!
4 they worshiped the dragon because he gave his authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast, and who is able to wage war with him?”
• Remember Satan in the beginning was the Angel Cherub! The one that Covers! Lucifer!
• Satan was the #1 Angel in the angelic realm over all other angels! #1!
• He was number 1 minus 1!
• Lucifer was bothered by God because Lucifer wanted it all he wanted everything God had!
Isaiah 14:12-15
12 “How you have fallen from heaven, O star of the morning, son of the dawn! You have been cut down to the earth, You who have weakened the nations! 13 “But you said in your heart, ‘I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God, And I will sit on the mount of assembly In the recesses of the north. 14 ‘I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.’ 15 “Nevertheless you will be thrust down to Sheol, To the recesses of the pit.
• This describes the fall of Lucifer or Satan !
• elyôn; from an elevation, lofty, the Supreme: — Most high or upper most! Almighty God!
• He fell to earth but yet he doesn’t stop! Amen?
2 Thessalonians 2:3-4
3 Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God.
• Anti-Christ means against Christ but can also mean “instead of Christ! “
• Says I’m much better than Him!
• Wants to be thee Christ instead of Christ! Counterfeit!
• Like the Trinity but their own! Satan- Anti-Christ- False Prophet!
• You may think this is far fetched but it’s not! It’s literal!
• Just look at history!
• Adolf Hitler was loved by Englands own William Chamberlin!
Bible commentator John Phillips noted…
“The world will go delirious with delight at his manifestation. He will be the seeming answer to all its needs. He will be filled with all the fullness of Satan. Handsome, with a charming, rakish, devil-may-care personality, a genius, superbly at home in all the scientific disciplines, brave as a lion, and with an air of mystery about him to tease the imagination or to chill the blood as occasion may serve, a brilliant conversationalist in a score of tongues, a soul-captivating orator, he will be the idol of all mankind.”
5. Words: 42 months. Or 3 1/2 years!
5 There was given to him a mouth speaking arrogant words and blasphemies, and authority to act for forty-two months was given to him.
6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemies against God, to blaspheme His name and His tabernacle, that is, those who dwell in heaven.
• He will have the ability to sway people with words!
• Master Politician can woo you with his words!
• Daniel 7. = 4 times he is described with mouth speaking pompous words!
• Most dictators come to power because of persuasive speech! Amen?
• History teaches us this! Adolf Hitler prior to WWII!
• Speaks softly and calmly at first makes sense then he’s shouting at the end!
• Everyone begins yelling Heil Hitler!
• We as Americans can never understand the euphoric impact Hitler had on Germany!
• All taken in by Hitlers words!
• This ruler will be no different! He will have every answer plus signs and wonders!
• Power supernatural power people will be convinced!
• Purging the world of all Christians!
• He will be conceited, loving selfies, look at me look at what I have done!
• All about me, myself and I!
• First 3 1/2 years peace all the worlds answers!
• Second half he turns all Hell on fire in the world with persecution like never seen before!
• Final characteristic we have is!
6. War: The One World Order and Leader! Middle of 7 year period!
7 It was also given to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them, and authority over every tribe and people and tongue and nation was given to him.
8 All who dwell on the earth will worship him, everyone whose name has not been written from the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who has been slain.
9 If anyone has an ear, let him hear.
10 If anyone is destined for captivity, to captivity he goes; if anyone kills with the sword, with the sword he must be killed. Here is the perseverance and the faith of the saints.
• Once he succeeds a Holocaust like never seen before will break out worldwide!
• Abomination of Desolation! Where it begins! 2 Thessalonians, Chapter 2
Daniel 7:25
He will speak out against the Most High and wear down the saints of the Highest One, and he will intend to make alterations in times and in law; and they will be given into his hand for a time, times, and half a time.
• To Persecute to wear things down or out!
• To harass that saints with all laws! Physical legal injustices!
• Everyone will take a Mark! Failure to comply you will be killed!
• First 3 1/2 years peace and calm international coalition! Working 10 powers will struggle!
• Middle - Abomination of Desolation, Peace Treaty between Israel and their enemies!
• Treaty will be broken by Anti-Christ! All Hell will break loose!
• He kills 2/3rds of all Jews! Zechariah 13
• He conquers Jerusalem! Zechariah 14
• He deceives the rest of the world with rampage to kill Believers everywhere! Revelation 13
• Listen, Jesus predicted this!
Matthew 24:9
“Then they will deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations because of My name.
• Now folks remember where is the church? In Heaven! Why! The Rapture! Amen!
• These are people that have been Saved during the 7 years of Tribulation! How?
• Remember? 2 Witnesses, 144,000 Jewish evangelist, and the Angel flying all over the earth sharing the Gospel message!
• Some will believe and be especially targeted by “The man” The Beast!
Question: So How do we end in and encouraging note?
By comparing Anti-Christ to Jesus there’s really no comparison! Amen!
Anti-Christ. Jesus
Man of Sin. Sinless Man
Idle Shepherd. Zechariah. Good Shepherd
The Beast. The Lamb. Who would you follow?
Death to a deceived world! His Death to Save the entire world! Amen?
“The Man” is the most deceptive man in the world!
This is what happens when we live in a world when right is wrong and wrong is right! Amen?
