Discovering Revelation Part 31!

Last week in Discovering Revelation we looked at Satan our adversary whom I have described as Ephesians does as the Prince of the Power of the Air!

We must understand he rules the world system!

• He rules every lost person whether they know it or not!

Amen?

• Satan is the current King over every nation on the planet!

• Really, there is only one nation in the world, you can place every single nation in this category

• And satan rules over it!

• He is thee Pastor to the secular world at large!

• The majority of the world is following this Prince of the power of the air!

Satan!

• Matthew 7 tells us so with the wide road with the wide gate and the narrow road with the narrow gate!

• Vs. 13. “The gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it.”

• Vs. 14.

For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.

• Listen, folks We the church at one time were ruled by him!

Amen?

• You and I! All of us in this room this morning!

Ephesians 2:1-3

1 And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, 2 in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience.

3 Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest.

• Look you and I were just like Satan! Lost in the world!

Without hope in this world!

• You and I were Satan’s own disciples!

Amen?

• If I would have looked at a picture of you prior to being Saved you would have looked just like the devil himself!

Amen?

That Angel of light!

• We were depraved, we were dishonest with God and with others!

• We were all liars liars pants on fire!

Amen?

• We were thieves, deceptive, looking out for our own best interest!

Amen?

• We were living in self-gratification pleasing our flesh in every area of our life!

• There was not one good person among us!

• Our hearts were deceitfully and desperately wicked!

Question: Now who does that sound like?

• But now listen to what Gods Word does say!

Ephesians 2:4-7

4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus 7 so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

• Oh Glory!

Because of His rich mercy!

• Because of His great Love!

• He makes us all alive together with Christ Jesus!

• God raised Jesus and raised us as well!

Amen?

• Not on,y did He raise us up He has seated us all in heavenly places in Christ Jesus!

Amen?

Why?

• So that in the ages to come He might sow the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward all of us in Christ Jesus!

Amen! Amen! Amen! Amen! Why?

Ephesians 2:8-9

8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9 not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.

• That free gift!

We can’t work it, we don’t deserve it, we are not good enough to get it!

On and in and on!

Amen!

• So church we must all and I mean all remember who we are or whose we are!

Amen?

• We are His Ambassadors of a Kingdom not of this world.

That is our inheritance!

• We don’t belong here anymore!

Amen! Jesus Saved us! Amen?

• Now let’s look at the enemy of this world we all live in!

I want us to look at this person in the world today and I would like to call him “The man!”

• We are going to look at “The man!”

The Anti-Christ!

• That ultimate man who will real soon come on the scene!

Why?

So that you will recognize him when he comes!

Amen?

• He will be charismatic in nature, very dynamic, quite charming and will be so full of himself!

• Chapter 13 gives this man the designation number what church?

666! Amen?

• For It was the 6th day that God made man in His own image!

Male and female!

Amen!

• God blessed them to be fruitful and multiply!

• Also, Bond-slaves were set free after 6 years of slavery!

• Listen to what John had to say in 1 John 2 about “The man!”

1 John 2:17-18

17 The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever.

18 Children, it is the last hour; and just as you heard that antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have appeared; from this we know that it is the last hour.

• So I want to list 6 Characteristics of the Coming One world Ruler!

Anti-Christ!

• He’s called the man of sin, the lawless one, the beast, the little horn, the Prince that shall come

• The Old Testament and New Testament predict this anti-Christ!

• There were Anti-Christ types through all the ages!

6 Characteristics of the Coming One World Ruler!

1. Wicked:

Revelation 13:1

1 And the dragon stood on the sand of the seashore.

Then I saw a beast coming up out of the sea, having ten horns and seven heads, and on his horns were ten diadems, and on his heads were blasphemous names.

• Called the Beast!

Or wicked man!
