A decision to become like Jesus
A decision to particpate (Koinonia) in Jesus’ family as his child
A decision to make the mission of Jesus your personal purpose and cause (to seek and save)
the Community of Faith - The community of Faith has discipleship at it’s core.
This is very different from having social work/ good works as it’s chief concern.
Real issues exist within the social fabric of each community, these issues can be reduced by meeting the underlying need ie.
need for food/shelter/basic medical services.
However whether it acknowledges it or not our community has a very real spiritual need.
Union with God and union with each other, the biblical word is Koinonia.
