Justification.
The act of God in bringing sinners into a new covenant relationship with himself through the forgiveness of sins, once and for all.

THE PROCESS OF JUSTIFICATION:
Once we admit to the Lord our sin, ask for forgiveness and place our trust in Christ, we become justified before God.
In the OT, priests would lay hands on the lamb to be sacrificed as a symbol of the transference of the sin of the people or individual onto God.
Acts 13:39
In the NT, Jesus took our sins upon Himself.

Man, sin.
Christ, died.
At Christ’s death he took on our sin, transferred it to Him.
This made man able to enter God’s presence and become holy and righteous.
Jesus transferred His righteousness to us in this process.
This is why we are declared righteous and holy.
WE OFTEN SEEM SO FAR FROM RIGHTEOUS OR HOLY, RIGHT?
That is why there is the process of sanctification.
We are not perfect, only Jesus was...
Sanctification.
A progressive change in the character of the person that has been justified.
Simply put- “set apart to be holy”.
a. Saved from sin the moment we seek the Lord for forgiveness and trust Him. 1 Corinthians 6:11

We are being saved daily as we ask for forgiveness from our sin.
c.
One day we will be forever free from sin in God’s presence.
Glorification.
Glorification is the completion, the consummation, the perfection, the full realization of salvation.
Standing before God when He takes us home to Him. (Rom.

The perfection of sanctification and completion on ones inner character, person and self.

Reigning with Christ.

God created us with a hunger & thirst for His righteousness.
It’s something that could never be satisfied by anything on this earth.
Only he can satisfy this longing that we have inside of us.

Jesus fills us with all we need from the Father in this world.
We make it so difficult.
We often think of righteousness as something we can manufacture.
a. Can we see through our own false righteousness?

As long as we hold on to anything that is in us as a result of self-satisfaction, or anything we have ever done or accomplished
2. If we are prone to defend ourselves from these things

We want the blessings of righteousness without actually being righteous as God calls us to be righteous.
