I want to look at this text the context of revival..

Often time our minds skip to think about a revival of thousands, when God delights in a single refreshed or revived soul.
In our text we find peter preaching and he says,

i’ve research the history of the great awakings across the world and i have found that all of them begin with the people returning to the place of prayer.
The 1st Great Awakening.
Historically, The 1st Great Awakening begin with Nikolas Count Ludwig Von Zinzendorf, a German.
It was traced to the Moravian community called “Herrnhut” (the Lord’s watch), they prayed, repentanced and and saw reconciliation in 1727.
This movement that began a 24 hour-a-day prayer meeting, which lasted the next 100 years.
one of my favorite story is of Evan Roberts in the early 1900s.
He had been praying for revival and an outpouring of the Holy Spirit for 11 years.
Through a vision he received, Roberts believed that God was going to win 100,000 souls.

Soon the revival spread to other places in South Wales.

We live in a unique time in human history where we get to watch the bible unfold on FOX and CNN
