Introduction:
In the early 1800's some Methodist Missionaries traveled to Northeast Alabama to spread the gospel.
They came across some Indians some of whom spoke English.
They gave one of the English speaking Indians a Bible and asked him to read it.
He said I will return in one year to discuss it with you.
During the next year the Indian read the Bible through and through.
His heart was pricked and he wanted to serve God.
The next year the same Methodist Missionary showed up.
He found the Indian to whom he had given the Bible and asked, "Did you read it?".
The Indian replied, "I did read it and I want to be baptized" The Methodist missionary was overwhelmed.
He could hardly believe it and he invited the Indian back to his tent.
When they got to the tent he filled up a bowl with water.
The Indian looked at the bowl and asked what is that for.
The Methodist said, "I am going to baptized you."
The Indian replied, "You are going to baptize me with that."
The Methodist replied, "YES".
The Indian said, "Well then you gave me the wrong Bible".
