My message this morning is entitled:
In Whom Do You Believe?
My text is found in:
Introduction:
Faith is the victory that overcomes the world.
But only faith towards God will do this.
The text says to move away from dead works and have faith towards God.
We must move away from the things that will hinder us.
We must move away from the things that are sinful.
We must move away from the things that are unfruitful.
And turn our faith towards God.
Faith Gr.
Pistis means a conviction of truth, or belief Gr.
Pisteuo place confidence in.
Faith is the substance Gr.
Hupostasis having a foundation.
Faith then is having a conviction of truth that we place confidence in.
Which is our foundation on which we stand.
so where is our faith directed towards?
As we look to the Word of God we will answer the question:
In Whom Do You Believe?
I. Faith Towards Man.
Faith towards self.
(Not enough)
I can handle it.
(cave man)
I don’t need anyone else.
Faith towards others.
(Not enough)
We can handle it.
We begin to lean on others for everything.
Counselors, friends, psychiatrist….
In Whom Do You believe?

Faith Towards Religion.
The Pharisees had faith in Religion
