But you know, as as we look at at First, Peter today, as we consider our our marriages and we look at God's command in the scripture concerning marriages.
We can live a lot more harmonious together.

Some of the greatest potential for the greatest testimony for Jesus Christ.
I'll lay that out as we go through this, but remember, is Peter, has been writing this this letter to the churches.
He is already dealt with, with The Head and the Heart as it pertains to, to the gospel.

We looked at how that was God's will.
His purpose and it's a heart issue, isn't it?
It wasn't very complex, but it is a heart issue when you consider that.
Today.
We're going to be looking.
At the marriage relationship.
and honestly, yesterday afternoon.
I scrapped my message.
I I had a, a message planned and I was going to address both husbands and wives and and the overarching concept of marriage and I began to realize we have communion today.
We had amazing Prelude.
We had a little longer announce with this this and pretty soon.
The sermon was just getting shorter and shorter and shorter.
Wonder wonderful things about being a senior pastor.
You can say, you know what, I'm going to split the sermon up.
And it works.
So wives today, we're going to be addressing you.
Husbands next week.
We're going to address you and me.
Why did you got the better end of the deal?
I'll tell you that because this is a shorter message, okay?
You get six verses in like 15-20 minutes.
We get one first, I get probably 35-40 minutes.
Men, we are a lot.
no, we're looking today as of this and their responsibilities, both for wives and for husbands Today we're going to focus on the wives like I said, but I want us to look at the basis of our responsibility.
And Peter is already addressed that well, but I want us to look, first of all and Philippians, Philippians is a wonderful letter, especially for church.
Church, that is struggling.
Oh my goodness.
Paul himself is struggling in Philippians and throughout Philippians, you hear Joy mentioned more.
So than any other letter that Paul Ryan's Barry White's this as he writes that church in their suffering.
and 2:5 he says, have this attitude I love it when God talks about her attitude.
Internal.
Have this attitude in yourselves, which was also in Christ Jesus.

And the two shall become one flesh, this mystery is great.
But I'm speaking with reference to Christ and the church.
Nevertheless, each individual among you also is the love, his own wife, even as himself.
And the wife must see to it that she respects her husband, As we look at Peter.
He he begins in both verses 1 and 7. Gentleman, seven is for us next week.
Okay, one and seven stating in the same way.
Begs the question in the same way as what?

Who Christ has already been in exemplified for us to follow in the previous verses that we looked at last week.
He is our example that you and I should follow.
And really, when we look at scripture, we read the passages like Philippians and what Peter is saying here to us?

I also want to just remind you of two things.
First of all, Peter was married again.
This is not an apostle that was writing and had no clue about marriage.
He had a wife
And from what we gather from scripture, he had a wife who was by his side ministered with him.
What's a beautiful wonderful helpmate?
In the ministry that God called Peter 2. I thank God for the help me that he blessed me with in my wife, Lisa.

and the work that I do is as a pastor,
But I also want you to remember as Peter is riding, he's not an early writing as a husband.
