Birth of Scientology

Began in 1952 by L. Ron Hubbard.
Hubbard was a sci-fi author. After serving in WWII decided he wanted to explore the mind to bring healing. The first book he wrote on Scientology was Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health
Dianetics refers to a method of removing engrams and their negative effects from the mind.
Different religious text they have: Dianetics: The Evolution of a Science (1950); Science of Survival (1951); Self Analysis (1951); History of Man (1952); Scientology: 88 (1952); Scientology 8:80 (1952); Scientology: 8-8008 (1952); How to Live Though an Executive (1953); Scientology 55 (1954); The Creation of Human Ability (1955); Scientology the Fundamentals of Thought (1956); The Problems of Work (1956); and All About Radiation (1957). In the 1960s he added Have You Lived Before This Life? (1960); Scientology a New Slant on Life (1965); Introduction to Scientology Ethics (1968); and The Phoenix Lectures (1968).
His writings are their religious text

Church Leadership Now

The leader of Scientology now is David Miscavige. He took over after Hubbard passed. Which he started leading when Hubbards health went down. He has been the official leader since 1986. His wife Shelly has not been seen in public since 2007. No one is sure about her location or why she has disapeared.
David is best friends with Tom Cruise, he was the best man at his wedding when he married Katie Holmes. Cruise is a level 7 Operating Thetan. Cruise when married to Holmes had church handlers constantly follow her.
Holmes escaped Scientology upon divorcing cruise. People who leave Scientology rarely say leave, but escape.
