"Because God Is..."
Dan Kroon • Willetton Christian Church • Sermon • • 33 views • 26:45
Ps 34; 84; Mt 13:44. Dan Kroon. In the face of God’s glory, splendour and majesty, we recognise the priority of pleasing him over pleasing others. This is what we thought about last week. This week, however, we need to consider what pleases us; what delights us and what we enjoy. Why? Because our pleasure is a concern of God’s and He is the fulfilment of it. That’s what it means for God to be good; that he is pleasing, delightful and enjoyable. Because He is good, we don’t need to look elsewhere for satisfaction and joy. God is our satisfaction. God is our joy. God is so good!
"Because God Is..."
Dan Kroon • Willetton Christian Church • Sermon • • 260 views • 28:46
Ps 27; 56; Mt 10:26-33. Dan Kroon. We began this series last Sunday by remembering that God is great; which means we don’t have to be in control; which means he can help us turn from sin and trust in him. This week it’s about how God is glorious; which means we don’t have to be controlled. Meaning, we don’t have to be controlled by our fear of others or our search for approval. Next to the glory, splendour, majesty and radiance of God, everyone and everything fades in significance. None can compare to our matchless God. That reality is why we are urged throughout Scripture to 'fear the Lord' and not man, because he is superior and supreme. He is glorious.
